Episode 105: Something Honest
5 Song Set is an eclectic music podcast that plays everything from ragtime to punk. Each episode is five songs long and includes information about the songs and the bands that perform them, as well as other interesting information that varies from show to show.
On November 21, 2015, Episode 105 of the podcast was released. There are all different kinds of songs. Some are cute and bouncy. Some are dark and moody. I think that some of the most touching songs are songs that reveal some weakness, tell a story, or say something personal. These songs say something honest, and gritty honesty has more value to me, I think, than all the airbrushed glamour of Hollywood. In this episode, I have five songs for you that I think say something honest. The songs are:
