(For Cammy :o) )
The first tape in a new lot of classic AEI Propac cassettes recently acquired in an online sale, for your shopping/dining/working listening enjoyment. Unlike the others this one (and two other forthcoming instrumental programmes) have full documentation, halleluyah!
The selections are much more traditional jazz-driven than Contemporary Instrumentals. In particular the compilation focusses on the popular jazz and easy listening acts of the mid-20th century such as Dave Brubeck, Enoch Light, Shelly Manne, Roger Williams and many others. The full writeup is shown in a cover scan ("JPEG" option) from the online sale page and a fully searchable text file. This would probably be a good in-car programme for a long drive somewhere. The subtitle is "Broadway Melody Revue" as listed in AEI's February 1998 Music Catalogue.
No restoration, EQ or noise reduction was done on this transfer. Speed correction was -26.75% as determined by comparing a selection from each track against the same songs downloaded from Youtube. The audio has been split into separate mono tracks for this presentation.
