Barack Obama is not Wall Street's first attempt at a takeover of the White House. in 1933-1934, a group of ultra-rich moguls tried the same thing, only trying to use naked force. It is an amazing and true story, which has only come to the fore in 2007 - the same year Obama's rise was in it's final stages of preparation. It is no wonder there have been so many diverse similarities between the campaign of Barack Obama and the fascists of the 1930's - the soaring oratory, the hypnotic ambience, the 'truth police', the 'civilian force' (of Obama), the secret backing of mega-corporations, the occultic symbolism, the staged 'swoonings', the cult of personality, the cloaked ultra-militarism, etc. etc.
Wall Street has become so much more sophisticated at marketing since 1933, and now uses focus groups, television, subliminal messaging, and other very slick forms of propaganda and media control - methods not available in 1933 America. This time, naked aggression was implied by Obama's "Truth Police", Brown Shirt battalions, the resurrected Black Panthers and Acorn - but nothing quite as apish as troops at the White House.

THEN: Irenee Du Pont - Right-wing chemical industrialist and founder of the American Liberty League, the organization assigned to execute the plot.
