expected to testify at the trial. all work for banks or financial firms linked to manafort. satellite images appear to show north korea has started dismantling facilities at the key nuclear test sidte. this has been the site of launches since 2012. we are joined by will ripley in hong kong this morning. will? >> reporter: it is significant according to analysts. it is a good confidence building measure. the launch facility is symbolic. this is where north korea launched a satellite in 2012 after signing a deal with the obama administration. that deal was dead on arrival because north korea launched the satellite which they came was a peaceful operation. most believe it was a ballistic missile in disguise.

i interviewed members back in 2015 after the launch. at that time, they insisted to me it was peaceful work they were doing. >> what can you say to the world to prove this is not a ballistic missile program in disguise? >> translator: why on earth would we drop nuclear bombs on people of the world? including the united states. >> reporter: that was 2015. there were lots of threats on the united states. at the launching satation, they a were developing liquid fuel. north korea has moved on to solid fuel technology with with the mobile missile launchers which can deliver the ballistic missile just as far, but rolled out with little notice. there is no indication that north korea is destroying the solid fuel facilities. this is a step, but small step. >> president trump tweeting
