the beacon of the flight date recorder for days. they were finally able to get through fast under water currents and reach the sea bed with the help of the remote operated vehicle and dig through the mud to pull up the device. the so-called black box which is actually colored orange so you can find it in the murk of the ocean. then it will take weeks if not months to extract the data analyze it according to the head of the investigation here in indonesia. it is a breakthrough as to explain why the brand new boeing 737 max airplane went down approximately 13 minutes after takeoff on monday morning with 189 passengers and crew on board. could it be the same aircraft reported to have the instrument

the latest information that we're getting, this is the first time we're hearing from the chief prosecutor in istanbul heading the investigation which has been going for nearly a month into the killing of jamal khashoggi. in the statement, the chief prosecutor says this was premeditated murder. something turkish officials have been saying for a few weeks now. the details they are giving according to the investigation, they say jamal khashoggi was killed almost immediately after entering the consulate and strangled to death and his body dismembered and destroyed. they don't clarify in the statement what they mean by destroyed. we have been trying to get clarification from turkish officials. in the meantime, "the washington post" quoting a senior turkish official saying they are pursuing a theory that acid was used to destroy the body. that happened here at the consulate or the

americans with pre-existing conditions. always. >> that just is not true. the affordable care act, obamacare, is about pre-existing conditions. these are states suing to overturn the affordable care act. his justice department is not defending the settled law in those cases. it is just not true that this white house is protecting pre-existing conditions. >> right. you see this play out in a lot of races like rick scott, the governor of florida, is now talking about pre-existing conditions. this is something republicans across the country have started to say. we will protect pre-existing conditions. if you are going to overturn obamacare and you don't have something to replace it, then you are not for protecting pre-existing conditions. you have to have a replacement there that will protect them or you have to say we're going to get rid of pre-existing conditions protections.

which honed in on the sound and dig through mud in the sea bed to dig up this flight data recorder. now it will take weeks, we're hearing, perhaps months, to extract the information and process it. the data flight recorder compiles all sorts of scores of different kinds of data streams, including altitude and wind speed and engines behavi sin s perhaps smoke alarms. maybe this will help them figure out how this boeing 737 crashed into the sea with 189 passengers and crew on board. the questions of the aircraft the night before had an instrument failure according to the investigators.

better than expected earnings helped stocks on wednesday. gm surged 9% on the earnings beat. there's other gm news. despite the earnings, gm offering buyouts to more than one-third of the workers in the u.s. as it transitions to self driving vehicles. gm employees who have worked for 12 or more years, about 18,000 of the 50,000 salaried staff in the u.s., will get the offer. gm is dealing with higher costs on steel and aluminum which raised costs $300 million in the third quarter. wework is starting to curb the beer consumption at the new york city members. testing new rules on the free beer offering. it comes when inappropriate behavior at tech companies is growing. now members will be limited to four 12-ounce glasses of beer available on tap per day.
