restrict asylum seekers at the border. the rule limits central americans to claim asylum if they had v not sought protections in another country on the way to the u.s. justices sonia society mayor descented. the aclu will continue to challenge the rule. president trump is considering mike pompeo for a second full-time job, replacing john bolton as national security adviser. it's not clear how seriously the president is about pompeo serving duserve ing dual roles. the president has been given a list for other replacements for bolten. the move is not without precedent. henry kissinger was president nixon's national security adviser when he was appointed secretary of state in 1973. the house committee votes to find the parameters of its impeachment investigation into

president trump. the resolution is expected to lay out the ground rules for potential impeachment hearings. it's a procedural vote but it does represent a step forward for the impeachment investigation. 130 democrats are calling for an inquiry. speaker nancy pelosi is not quite there yet. but a fellow democrat thinks he knows what she's up to. >> there's an old adage, that if you boil a frog, it will swim around until it gets cooked. and my sense the speaker is cooking the president. >> democratic aides say the goal is to recommend articles of impeachment by the end of the year. weeks after parading baltimore as a rodent-infested mess, president trump is heading there today for a republican retreat. his comments angered many in the city, especially this tweet

about the district that includes baltimore and some of its is inturs. mr. trump saying no human being would want to live there. he mocked a burglary attempt at cummings' home. he chairs the oversight committee that is investigating the president on several months. he tells cnn he hopes the president has a pleasant visit. president trump renewed his attack on the federal reserve. the president demanding s iningo interest rates in a booming economy. the fed cut the interest rate to stave off a recession. many believe that the fed will cut again next week. negative rates would be an extreme step. and they haven't worked for european and japanese central banks. critics say it hurts banks and it doesn't stimulate growth. last month, the president told reporters he didn't want to see negative rates. and now, he's supporting negative rates and talking about
