in the blink of an eye it is completely reversed. the true wealth of innovation, you know these companies, apple, google, microsoft, amazon, facebook they all have research centers and there is a reason something is going on. it's a great change. it's the big data collectivity and artificial intelligence. you know what that does?
id revolutionizes the old industries so here is an industry that israel is always greater but now we have precision agriculture commune with that is, the drone in the sky is connected to a big database and sensors onda the field. now we can target with this technology the water that we gave, the fertilizer that we give down to the individual plant needs it. that is processing to the precision agriculture. [applause] we were always good with water. i want you to see how good we are. we recycled almost 90% of our wastewater. with less than 20% you can see
what it does for water and the environment so when you take these two things, agriculture and water and the other technologies that we apply, we can change the world. we are. i just heard about an african woman but just to walk eight hours every day to give water to her children, four hours one-way and four hours back in a young company is brought in that improves. member moses broadwater. they bring water from thin air. they bring water to africa, to millions of people in africa. and i was just recently in india, that is my friend the minister. i'm showing him tomatoes that this is the israeli technology and what i heard was fantastic. they came from the region and there is an experimental form where it is aim technology know-how. one after another gets up and says i've increased my fields and income three times, four times, five times. it's changing the world everywhere. israel is literally driving the world. i'm talking about autonomous
vehicles that spring up almost instantaneously. one of them was just sold for the sum of $15 billion but the interesting thing is here or the keys to the business, you run it. the technology is driving the world. our weight coming off two times were ten times or 100, 200 times. that is one heckuva punch. very strong. here is how the dots connect. because we have this tremendous capacity for security and intelligence, and because we have this tremendous capacity for making the lives of people rich, safe, more productive many countries are coming to israel because they want to share with us these benefits and that creates a third floor rushing of the diplomatic relations around the world. when i joined 105 years ago -- [laughter] is the number two in the embassy i think we had 80 or 90
countries with whom we had diplomatic relations and now the number is 160 and there's very few countries left. i play what are we doing with greenland? we have to do something with greenland. australia, tremendously far away that. we are coloring the world blue. people talked about israel and isolation. pretty soon the countries that do not have relations with us are going to be isolated. [applause] there are those that talk about boycotting israel. we will boycott them. [applause] the good news is very good and it's getting better.
the bad news is bad things are getting worse and when i talk about that, we have to deal with this challenge and i'm thinking specifically what do we do about iran? the force behind so much of what is bad if i have a message for you today it is a very simple one we must and we will stop iran. [applause] when i last spoke i tried to
warn the world about the threatto the security of the region, i warned that iran's regime had repeatedly lied to the international community and that it could not be trusted. i warned about the clear path to developing a nuclear arsenal and a little more than a decade and that by removing the sanctions regime would become more moderate and peaceful but more extreme and belligerent, much more dangerous and ladies and gentlemen, that is what has happened. here ihere's what iran is doing. can you see that?
okay. darkness is dissenting. iran is building an aggressive empire. iraq, lebanon, yemen and more to come. now it is seeking to build military bases and create a bridge and in addition to moving the army command navy, air force to be able to attack is also seeking to develop and build precision guided missiles in lebanon and i will not let that
happen. we will not let that happen. we must and we will stop iran. last week we read the book of esther about an earlier attempt to exterminate our people. they failed then and they will failil now. this. and he's also made clear that if the flaw of the nuclear deal isn't fixed he will walk away from the deal and restore sanctions. israel will be right there by their side and so will other ser countries in the region. [applause] as we counter the aggression, we shoulder always remember the bre people of iran that their suffering, their hope for their courage. women are put in jail for removing their hit jobs, students are tortured and shot for advocating freedom. we stand with those in iran who stand for freedom. i believe that the day will come when this horrible tierney will disappear and perish from the earth and the friendship o betwn the people of israel and the peoplepl of persia will be reestablished. today we have the same tomorrow we will have peace. we worked together to confront the bad. there is also potential to advance the good that comes from thefr bad because most states in the region know very well that israel is not their enemy, but they're indispensable ally in
conferencing the common challenges and common opportunities this is true for egypt and jordan and the peace partners but also many others in the middle east. israel remains committed. president trump made it clear that he is committed to peace and i've made it clear that i am committed to peace. we appreciate the efforts from the team. thank you all for your hard work for peace. [applause] but he has to embrace peace and stop supporting terror.
raise your hand high if you agree with me that president abbas should stop. [applause] he pays about $350 million a year to terrorists and their families each year. that is a little less than 10% of the total palestinian budget, that is an incredible number. he pays a [inaudible] who murdered the beautiful family and their three children including a three -month-old baby girl, said he paid this murder and over the lifetime of this killer, he will be
receiving $2 million. i have a message for him. stop paying terrorists. what message does that send to the palestinian children? it says murder jews and get rich. and i believe that he should find better use foror this money to build roads, schools, hospitals, factories. [applause]ch don't pay debt, invest in life and peace. it will make it clear that america has zero tolerance for terrorists. [applause] ladies and gentlemen, i've
spoken about the good and bad, there's plenty of both but i want to end with a few words about the beautiful. [inaudible] that's very kind of you. [applause] i love you too. thank you. who planted her. [laughter] i'm talking about the beautiful alliance between israel and the united states of america. [applause] the beautiful alliance that has brought all of you here to washington, the beautiful alliance that works day in and day out to make things stronger and better. what is the beautiful alliance made of a.
that is the wellspring of the great alliance between the two countries. all you have to do is leave this room and walk around a few blocks from here and see these majestic monuments you can learn from them all about our common values. they come from a certain book called the bible. this is all of us are created in the image of god and of those words inspired jefferson when he declared all men are created equalto and all limited by the way. it inspired abraham lincolinspie
darkest days of america's civil war he found inspiration in the words of king david when he said that the divided america would heal and the judgment of the jue lord are true and righteous. just as the words of the prophet inspired the great martin luther king when he stood before the lincoln memorial and the promised to carry on the struggle until justice runs like water and righteousness. these values are in insufferable part of america's story and of israel. today, together we are writing a new chapter in the calm in the story of freedom, justice, peace and hope and it's because we are inspired by the same ideas, because we are animated by the
