[laughter] [applause] [indiscernible] [laughter] i feel like in south carolina there is a bigger version of it, we don't wear the hat, but we share the values. [indiscernible] were from south carolina. maybe you should learn from that. maybe you shouldn't let us be in charge. [laughter] he called me and said would you come and i started reading about

you you are the largest republican county left. i felt like the least i could do is come to you if i could and help you raise some money tonight. they are sure they are happy they helped you to. i'm sure they are happy about that. where are the guys with the guns? [indiscernible] i hope you enjoy this. [indiscernible] i wanted to get that out of the way. i am from the federal government i am here to help you. [laughter] i wanted to get that out of the way, too. you are a lot of fun. the more you drink, the better i sound. keep it up. [applause] [cheering]

[indiscernible] that tells me a lot about this county, this is a very dangerous place. you all have a lot of judges. there must be a lot going on. the fact there so may women rest -- represented, god bless you all. [cheering and applause] beth, where are you at? thank you all for putting up with nancy pelosi the best you can. i know a bunch of you all are running against each other and you all will figure it out. all i can say is we better not screw this up, do you agree? i am honored to be here.

anybody been to south carolina? i took strom thurmond's place, you heard of him? we change senators every 50 years whether we need to or not. [laughter] he was elected was the year before i was born. i got 34 more years to do this. [laughter] i will come back on my last year for free again. so let's just talk a little bit about where we are at and where we are going. you all were challenged but you withstood it. 82 for 82, 83 for 83. the bottom line is liberals hate this. that's why love texas. they are trying their best to turn you the other direction, but you seem to be in good shape . john corwin and ted cruz are

wonderful senators. thank you for sending these guys to the senate. if ted could get over his shyness. [laughter] ted and i have scrapped every now and then but usually we are on the same side. i have never met a more dedicated constitutional conservative in my life. thank you very much. john corwin, he was stalwart when it came to judges. [indiscernible] like everybody in this room, and i appreciate them both. [laughter] speaking of president trump, we weren't, but we are now. when i saw that picture, it scared me, i thought he was here. the one thing i can tell you you will never have him to

[indiscernible] you might want to get used to that cut out. it's probably all you're going to get. i was born in the 60's, i ran for president 2020 and if you don't remember that, it really is not your fault. it didn't last long. i got a t-shirt, i enjoyed it. trump and i didn't see eye to eye. he said why did you say all those things about me. and i said i couldn't think of anything else to say. when it was over, i accepted my defeat. he won and i lost. i think he was a helluva president. [laughter] people asked me what happened between you and trump? i got to know him. we found common ground. i seem to like him and he liked him.

[laughter] we played a lot of golf, the first nine rules is when i liked him and the second nine holes is when he liked him. the bottom line is during his four years, he made a big difference, don't you think? [cheers and applause] we miss him, don't we? i see him on fox -- is agriculture guy still here? [indiscernible] that's his name-oh. icm on fox all the time. he is funny as hell. some weight said he is the most honest politician. she's got some bigger than life personality.

the guiding light of conservatism, when everyone else's down and out you could look to her for help. she was not afraid of being conservative. i am pushing a bill, we are one of seven nations in the world that allows a baby to be aborted at 20 weeks. would you like to get out of that club? we have a heck of an agenda for a lot of people. i think this party's better days are ahead. i want to thank the democratic party for making us look at her every day. [laughter] [indiscernible] thank you. the bottom line is i want you to

think about three things, what they have done as democrats, what they would do if they could and how we can win. they screwed the country up, do you agree with that? they border that was secure and it is wide open. if there was a contest to scrub the world, joe biden would have -- screw up the world, joe biden would have won. how many of you think, harris will be the candidate in 2024? i hope so. the bottom line for me, look at what they have done in eight months. they took a secure border and we are being invaded. i don't blame everybody in the world for coming here, i blame us for letting everybody in the world come here.

only god knows who is coming. what is the likelihood of some terrorist from afghanistan will come visit us. going up every day, isn't it? the borders are chaos. anybody here in the military? around of applause for those. [applause] one of the per -- one of the first people i mess -- met i saw the purple heart ribbon and i said where did you get that. he said i was in the pentagon on 9/11. i said i am honored to be here and that is why i wanted to donate $5,000. ladies and gentlemen, what happened afghanistan breaks my heart. i was there with john mccain and others. 57 times since 9/11.

i've been to iraq, a bench afghanistan 57 times since the ward to try to figure out how to keep us safe. what joe biden did by pulling all her forces out, allow the taliban to take over that country is the biggest mistake since 9/11. to make people died, to make families turned upside down, too many lives shattered to give it away like this. let's waiting in 2022, ok? -- wayne in 2022 -- win in 2022. i have never been as -- more worried about a terrorist threat like 9/11 but i am now. do we have a presbyterian tear? -- presbyterians here?

[laughter] we are glad to have you. do we have any baptists? that is a baptist you can read. if you get nothing else out of this speech which you did not pay for, radical islam could kill everybody in this room, do believe that? our military will not at them get to us. now we are dependent on the taliban to take care of america, is that a good idea? that is a dumb idea, that is a dangerous idea. joe biden has done more harm to our national security in eight months and anyone in modern times. the opposite of joe biden would be in the hall of fame. he turned down sound military advice and the rest is history.

inflation is a nightmare for working men and women. i'm the first person in my family to go to college, anyone in that vote? -- that boat? my dad owned a liquor store, bar and pool room. that is why i am in the senate. i grew up in the back of the bar and brand cool and i know a liar when i see one. neither of my parents finished high school. only in america can you do what i've done. many of you have accomplished great things because you work hard, but joe biden is proud are destroying the jobs -- job creators are the enemy in their world. we were energy independent and now we are begging them to produce more oil.

we shutdown our pipeline and let russia build theirs. in 2020, people felt joe biden sons pretty good. we need a more levelheaded guy a moderate fellow. he think we were tricked? -- don't you think we were tricked? every day that goes by, tweets and all, donald trump looks better to me. what happened here is in eight months, the border has become completely surrendered to drug cartels and human trafficking. we surrendered afghanistan to the taliban and terrorists, our economy is going south, inflation is running rampant and we lost the ability to be energy independent because of the crazy ideas coming out of this

administration. we can't afford to lose again. thank god that texas has changed in terms of how you vote. without that control, it is right for cheating. the reason i know we are doing it right is because the liberals are except darks are upset when texas and georgia are doing. i believe every american should have the right to vote. [applause] i believe every american should have the right to vote without cheating? [applause] when you look at 2022, the argument we need to make his somebody needs to slow this crowd down. somebody needs to fire nancy pelosi. [cheers and applause] bottom line again they have a , four seat majority in the us house of representatives. we

could pick up two or three of those seats in texas. everybody in the world is moving to texas. now i think i know why. to clean up oil. [laughter] i think we are going to pick up 25 to 40 seats in the house because of the backlash. [applause] in 1994 after four look years of democratic control -- i've think there's going to be a big backlash. i think we are going to blow it out in the house. what does that mean for you in texas? that means nancy pelosi can't run housing more. that means the social train never gets off the tracks. that means the squad and aoc

have nothing to do would be on tv. we have to stop the most radical agenda and my lifetime. we hope texas will do her part. we need one more united states senator. i could give you another one. i would take one from california, but they won't let me. if we could pick up one more senator i would be the chairman not bernie sanders. -- budget chairman, not bernie sanders. ladies and gentlemen, one senator would change everything.

we can stop some of these appointments. we would be in charge of the place rather than chuck schumer. i think we have a good chance to pick up a majority in the united states senate. arizona has two democratic senators. mark kelly is on the ballot. i'm going to arizona monday to look at the border. he should be with me, but he is not. we have a heck of a story to tell. we need to stop these people in 2022 so we can win in 2024. [applause] [indiscernible] [applause] i'm not going ask the other question. i might take another shot at it.

we have a lot of people who would be darn good candidates. my -- mike pompeo would be a hack of a candidate. the bottom line is, you have the governor of florida. we have an embarrassment of riches. 2020 for one matter if we scrub in 2022. you agree with that? we've got to stop this train. we've got to make sure we slow down the socialist agenda and we keep the senate intact. i told you what they have done. let me tell you what they would do if they could. if you don't want to give money after this, then i have screwed up big time. if they have the ability, the district of columbia would be a state. puerto rico would be a state.

there be 13 members on the supreme court, not nine. the electoral college would be abolished. hr 1, allowing ballot harvesting would be the law of the land. at the federal level. we have got to manage the senate in a smart way to make sure we don't lose the filibuster before 2022. everyday i go to work i check and see how everybody looks physically. just think about what would happen, one person gets sick. the only thing between us and transformed america in all the wrong ways is one seat, two

senators not willing to go along with chuck schumer. i have done everything but move in with joe manchin. [laughter] pray for joe manchin. so what would happen if we lost more seats in the senate and they were able to change the filibuster, we will not recover from it. america will be fundamentally changed forever. abolishing the electoral college means that new york and california essentially choose the president of the united states. packing the court means that everything we have worked for all these years is wiped out in one moment. do we have a pro-lifer in year? -- in here?

on the supreme court, amy barrick conant -- amy coney barrett. she is the real deal. she is on his same oblique -- she is unashamedly pro-life and she is who you are. and they didn't destroy her because of kavanaugh. let me tell you why kavanaugh was important. if they had one and we had backed out and thrown in the towel, who would be wanting to be a judge? after what he went through, would you want your name to be on the top in washington? what they were willing to do to this man was a low point in my

time in the u.s. senate. i've known him for 25 years. if he moved in and became your neighbor, you would be lucky to have him and his wife. how would you like your life ruined over party in high school that nobody could remember where it was at and when it happened? and the people don't know what you're talking about. how would you like three people to make false accusations against you to ruin your life? how this man went through that, i will never know. i think the good lord was on his side. [applause] i want you to understand how they play the game. the only reason anybody listens to me was because i voted and i

took a lot of trap -- crap because i think they should be judges based on the qualifications. still he about six votes -- cilia-scalia got 96 votes. they change the game. so on the last day of the hearing they said that we got letter -- this letter we would like to put in the record. they had a letter from ford for weeks and never allowed brett to answer the accusations. he wake up the next morning to the front page of the washington post. you think this was planned? do you know why i would never do

this, because i was raised better. [applause] when it comes to the left, they are the most intolerant, hateful people on the planet. [applause] and they play hard. here is what i want you to understand. play hard, too but don't forget who you are. my mama and daddy said because johnny didn't do it doesn't mean you do it. the republican party actually believes and stuff. the are judges disappoint us every now and nine. because they think for themselves. i've never felt better about the future of the republican party than i do right now. [applause]

[indiscernible] a united states senator who worked at chick-fil-a. which means he should be broke. he is going to take this party to new levels. all these women here, young girls are going to understand that conservatism is some -- conservatism is for them. to the committee of texas, you are our future. we love you. you work hard. [applause] i am sorry if you are being overrun. this party, our party is on the verge of a breakout.

what do we need to do between now and 2022? not eat our own. get these primaries behind us. if you lose, do what i did, except it -- accept it and realize whatever fault you find in your opponent, compare that 12 would happen if the other side wins. i think we are going to blow it out in 2022. i think in 2024, the republican party has a chance to get it all back, the house, the senate and the white house. [applause] i believe from the bottom of my heart that conservatism is the last best hope for mankind. [applause] i believe that america is the

last best hope for mankind. [applause] conservative america is exactly what we need in the 21st century. i never dreamed i would be in the united states senate. growing up where i grew up, it just couldn't happen, but it did. do you know why i got in the senate, because of people like you. people believed in me when i was in the statehouse, the first republican since reconstruction. we didn't elect a republican, that's about it was back home. the rest is history. everyday day that i go to work i think old my god, how did this happen to me?

it happened because other people helped me. this is a party event. there are 10 of you [indiscernible] [laughter] let me tell you what the republican party did for me. they got me on my feet and got me started. make those phone calls, had a good carbon copy or -- copier. the republican women's federation [indiscernible] when i first ran for the statehouse, we had not had a republican since 1873. at was the republican federation of women that came and did all

-- [indiscernible] it was the republican coffee club which was the average age of about 89 years old man that made all the phone calls. it was a pro-life group that did my first fundraiser and we raised $12,000. [applause] so what am i telling you? without people like you, there are people like me. and the rest of you here. if you don't have a full-time person in this county, you need to go get one. because if we lose this county, the democrats are going to move in.

i didn't know about this county until they go. [laughter] i came because i've known brad for years. i didn't even know you worked for him. i read up on you and i met you. i feel really good about the future of texas republican policy. [cheers and applause. ] so i'm going to enjoy it and i'm going to watch election night in this county. [applause] i hope you become judges. i hope you get not only 83 in the house, maybe we can pick one

up in the texas state senate. that is a big deal. you represent more people than a member of congress. you are a little bigger than us, we got 46, you only have 31. so texas politics is a big deal for america. do you realize that? do you realize you're the last hope for [indiscernible] from the bottom of my heart, i'm glad i came. i'm glad i was smart enough -- [indiscernible] i'm glad i gave you money. and god bless texas.
