I have an I7 8th gen 6 core so I don't think it's my machine that's the issue as that seems plenty powerful enough to run it. Otherwise this is a very great idea to bring back my old memories but the sid timing is off and seems to struggle to keep time with the song.

I think Archive.org is blocking me from downloading via Jdownloader2. I've been shadowbanned from calling out the cartel.

Update: The regular news won't ever post this but the cartel has deep ties to the US and within the next month or two deep $$$$ is about to go flying towards a lot of players involved. Whether or not any actual arrests will be made remains in the air but major changes are coming as a result and the US Supreme Court is digging it's heels hard in a non nonsense way. The Biden Tapes are just the TIP of the iceberg.

Ignoring the blather about a cartel, the problem is that the web-based vice32.js doesn't work well with stereo.

If you go to settings (F12) -> Sound Settings -> Output mode -> Mono, the issue improves (if not perfectly).

The files should work fine in normal VICE too. Just note that it must be NTSC, emulate a 1581 drive, and don't use the built-in fastloader.

I did not use a custom Stereo SidPlayer for this, though I did configure it to not use the fastloader (which wouldn't work on a 1581). There may be better possible configurations.

Honestly, without a fix for the JS VICE being able to output stereo, I don't consider this item fully functional. Now that VICE supports SDL2, compiling for that might be worth investigating.

Your D81 files are not read by Vice at all and neither is your custom Sid Player but the real Sid Player 10.3 does work.

What I wounded up doing was using one of your D81 files for the Sid Stereo 10.3 that's part of the CGSC and while that part worked your files don't get read on it.

I have to use the Sid Fests that are part of CSGC though I found the Stereo Sid Collection Vol A and B the ones I grew up on and they work though you can only do either A or B at at time. Not both.

Maybe better as a resource for finding that SIDtune. Tracks play, sort of, in the browser. Thanks for curating this!
