This issue of "Legislative Review" takes a look at the news in higher education from April 20 to 24, 2009. This Legislative Review reports that: (1) HB 1394, a bill to provide an appropriation for financial assistance to tribally controlled community colleges, was approved by the House Friday, Apri1 17 on a vote of 73-15; and (2) HB 1487, a bill prohibiting expenditure of federal economic stimulus funds unless appropriated by the Legislative Assembly, was approved by the House on a vote of 70-22 Thursday, April 16. A list of bills passed this week is also reported.
