worth and it will sell fast. you have to be ready for that. in this market, it a move faster than you think. >> you say get it sold quickly. it is all about the price. >> the sooner we call the business deal web, days on market, the more you have, the less appeal there is to the property. you want to have the least amount of days on market as possible. it is not ready. you need to have a price correctly from the beginning. you will get more for the property that way. it has been on the market for the last three or four weeks. >> that is a great point.
melissa: that is a great point. you say hire a professional photographer. >> it used to be location, location, location. now it is photography, photography, photography. it is the brand of the house. if the photography looks bad, who knows what else is wrong with the house. they are going even crazier and getting thrown shots. spend the money on the pictures. it is well worth it. it will get you more money in the long run.

they are off the market? >> half of it is off market. half of my active inventory right now is off market. it is one thing that buyers will always pay top dollar for. what do you have off market? typically i would tell my sellers to shop off market. let's do it quietly for two or three weeks. we are testing it without testing it. that is important. madonna shopped her house off market.
melissa: how to get the best deal is to make a strong offer. do not put him to the police. it felt like you will end up paying a lot. >> it is not coming in i. we have a home listed for $10 million. in other brokers client submitted an offer for seven and a half million. my sellers said go screw yourself. we are not giving you a counter offer. it is probably worth 9 million. this fire has kind of screwed himself. they will not get a counter. they will have to come in again. you do not want to go into low.

people were burning their bras and letting it all hang out. then there was still the need. there was a need for women to have a solution in their wardrobe. what they did is they just cut off the leg. you can hook it around your broth. it would hold you in. for me, looking good is feeling good. melissa: it sounds like one of your biggest competitors out there. you are saying that you are very different from them. yours looks good when you don't have to close on top. >> that is correct. it is meant to be seen. that is yummy's concept.
melissa: you can have a great product. one thing you did is you are on a reality show. real housewives. how did that change your business? >> when the house lights came to me, i would like a lot oh, gosh, i do not think that is for me. as a businesswoman -- melissa: you mean you did not want to air your dirty laundry. >> i do not have a lot of dirty laundry to a air. >> when you debuted on the show, the line was already out there. >> you were among too small of a percentage of a group of a launch of a brand. that was my vision. to launch a brand. i needed the whole pie.
i got to talk about me. i got to talk about me in front of millions of viewers that i was not reaching potentially. now they've really got to know what it stood for. melissa: we are a show about money. did you see your business double? >> we absolutely saw increases. at first, it was conversion. those things equal out when you have a good product and you have a good friend. >> meanwhile, everyone on the housewives are trying to sell something. it is not necessarily a layout.
>> three months into a launch we were dancing our jihad. that was really scary. >> did you have any pushback? >> i think everybody was nervous for me. i knew who i was. i knew i would not let a show or producer change my values and assets. >> i will always be a fashion designer. i did it as an underbelly and brand. it is definitely not taking over. i love being on your show.

they provide me with galleries that are relevant. i bring them web traffic. >> i just see it in my twitter feed. i am not going anywhere as a result of it. >> you will see tweets that have links and pictures to galleries. melissa: what is really popular? what do you get the best reaction to? >> they also love facts about big celebrities. melissa: do you ever get pushback's? >> oh, all the time.

melissa: you have gone on to have a brick-and-mortar store out in l.a. >> we have. melissa: what makes these guys different as entrepreneurs? >> great passion. staying married to it and keeping that momentum is very hard. it is contagious. they are all replicas of them. they have that high energy. they have the people skills. melissa: it is a pretty specific concept. you took in $250,000 in sales.
what makes this concept for off that much cash or says other businesses? >> the quality of product. melissa: how much is your typical lobster? >> $13. it is really very affordable. we are at a time where the economy is struggling. you are peddling something that is a little bit more for lunch. >> we were a little nervous in the beginning. it does not matter what area you are in, people always splurge for food. if it is good food, they welcome back.
melissa: why did you decide to become a franchise? >> very good question. for us, it is making sure that we have the right operator. they have the real knowledge locally. they are integrating the market, and they can make it explode. melissa: what would you say to someone out in the audience right now watching this? >> even if you are buying a franchise, you are the lead guide. in the end, you have to open the door, close the door. you have to really, really love your business. finding the people that are capable of building a business. you have to be an entrepreneur. melissa: you also back other
