they got arrested and held for ten days because of this. that's really, i mean, that's something that, you know, i can't forgive myself for either. >> there's speculation that they had gotten advice from joran's father who didn't want to see his son go to prison. >> but their story quickly fell apart after surveillance footage showed they never drop natalee off that night. >> the brothers had dropped him off at a beach, and there was evidence that deepak was at home and using a computer. so at that point, joran was really hung out to dry, because he didn't have those two friends to fall back on as possible alibis for himself. and so that's when the story really started unraveling, and all different scenarios started to come up with joran. >> why did he need to lie? why was it not enough to say i
