the investigation into secretary clinton's emails and i do not understand his refusal to accept the judgment that he was mistaken. in a letter to comey donald trump told the director his decision was necessary to, quote, restore the trust and confidence of the public, democrats reaction, outrage questioning the timing of the de special prosecutor to be appointed on the russia probe, chuck schumer calling it a mistake. >> earlier this afternoon donald trump called me and informed me he was firing director comey. i told the president, mister president, with all due respect, you are making a big mistake. the first question the administration has to answer is why now. if the administration had objections to the way director
