Sometimes in life even good people can get sidelined by certain situations. In our text Jonah had run away from what God had called him to do. Before he knew it he had fled so far away from God that he found himself hiding in the bottom of a ship in the midst of a storm. After being thrown overboard, he is swallowed by the great fish. In that condition, Jonah makes a statement that turned his life around: âYet will I look again toward thy Holy temple.â This caused him to remember Godâs grace and mercy. It rekindled his spirit of thanksgiving. Jonah learned that it was worth another look.
