looking ahead to clouds and isolated showers before a big warming trend will bring us back to summer. >> there a breezy ride across the bay bridge. no delays at the toll plaza. guess what? you'll need chains if you are heading up to the sierra. >> kristen: definitely unusual june. thank you for joining us. i'm kristen sze. >> eric: i'm eric thomas. police on the peninsula say they'll put every resource they have into the search for the gunman who killed a three-month-old baby. shooting in east palo alto also woind the baby's parents. tomas ramon is live the east palo alto police department. >> they are making a major effort what they are calling a possible gang-related shooting. it left a three-month-old baby dead. >> the unidentified couple were leaving a baby shower around 1:00 a.m. in this car when two young men opened fire.

shots fatally wounded the three-month-old boy. three-year-old boy was unharmed. they gathered at the site and they denounced the violence that took the young life. city is putting out a major effort to solve the possible gang-related shooting. >> it's too early to say those that are in custody are tied into the case. >> a captain or police chief will not stop until we find the perpetrators of this heinous act. >> reporter: police released these sketches of the two young men suspected in the shooting. they do now have two juveniles in custody who they arrested yesterday on weapons charges and they are questioning them because they may be the suspects in the attack. the couple has not been identified, but police do say that both mother and father are 22 years old. they air is the mother was wounded in the back when she tried to cover and protect her

three-month-old baby boy. the father has a bullet wound to the shoulder. they are both recovering at stanford and we are expecting an update by east palo alto police later this morning. i'm tomas ramon, "abc 7 news." oakland city officials are set to launch a new communication system for the police and fire department. the new system is improving internal and external communications with the city and other jurisdictions around the bay area. there have been several recent high profile failures with the previous radio system including an incident in which officers could not communicate with dispatchers during a high-speed chase and police shooting. officers had problems communicating with each other during an undercover drug bust and a burglary investigation. >> kristen: a joint funeral will be held on friday afternoon for the two san francisco firefighters who died while fighting a diamond heights fire

last thursday. vincent perez and anthony valerio were pulled out of the burning house. they say super heated gases exploded causing a flashover and temperatures as high as thousand degrees. firefighters medical mets jackets and boots are set up at fire station 26. santa clara county deputies are trying to determine and identity for the human remains found in a park they discovered the remains on friday in a shallow ditch while doing maintenance work. the coroner's office is trying to determine the age and gender whose remains were found and they need to determine if the remains come from the same person.

new development in the case of giants fan bryan stow who ho was beaten outside dodger stadium. they will file a motion asking for video that will prove his client innocent so far 31-year-old suspect has not been charged in the case but he is being held pending a probably violation hearing. his attorney said he would not have resembled the suspect sketch because he had a full head of hair at the time of the beating. lawyer claims the video from a hollywood motel security camera will move that. >> it appears building a new stadium in santa clara is going to cost $10 million more than original estimates. they report the projected expense is $950 million up from the original $937 million. a spokesperson says it's no surprise cost is fluctuating as the project moves forward.

apple fans are on cloud nine this morning. in just a few hours steve jobs will emerge from medical leave to to unveil a new service. amy hollyfield is live at moscone center at the apple developers conference. >> devoted apple fans have turned out this morning. check out the line it wraps all the way down moscone west and stretches down fourth street. they will get to see steve jobs inside that will be taking a break from his medical leave. he'll be debuting a new service called i-cloud that will allow to take your itunes collection. you can park it and stream it instantly to any device. they are very excited to access their library on the go.

morning we have cloud over the bay bridge live picture of the embarcadero. stray shower but overall we've got a warming trend. five american troops have been killed by a rocket attack in iraq. officials say a barrage of at least three rockets hit an iraqi base near the entrance to baghdad's green zone. americans were staying at the base as advisors. today's death mark the single largest loss of life in the past two years. military ended combat operations last august and currently has 46,000 troops in the country. a terrifying picture from new york's long island where high winds sent an inflatable house. video of the scene show horrified parents trying to stop

at the site of the shooting. it occurred on 400 block at wisteria drive at 1:00 p.m.. a redwood city couple was having a baby shower where two men opened fire on the car fatally wounding the three-month-old boy and wounding the mother and father. these young perpetrators are not respective women and not respecting children. we are not going to tolerate any kind of deaths. >> a police chief or captain will not stop until we find the perpetrators until we bring them to justice. >> reporter: police released these two sketches of the young men suspecting in the shooting. they have already arrested two juveniles on weapons charges who may be the suspects and police say may be a gang-related attack. police have not released the identities of the couple. the woman was wounded in the
