welcome back. take a look at the south end of the golden gate bridge notice how thick the fog is also the roads are wet because the fog has so much moisture in it. those dangerous winds are still ready to move in. two earlier accidents on southbound 101 near the waldo tunnel traffic southbound past the golden gate bridge or to the golden gate live shot of the bay bridge toll. still a lot of fog. >> reporter: i'm terry mcsweeney live at the oakland police department. investigators have identified suspects in monday night's shooting that sent seven to the hospital including a toddler in critical. the story coming up in a live report. with >> reporter: i'm amy hollyfield in vallejo. governor brown will be among thousands of mourners here at

a memorial service today for fallen officer jim capoot. 5:01 on this wednesday morning. very very foggy be careful this morning. i'm eric thomas. and i'm kristen sze. the fog will give way to strong winds. >> those winds will take away the fog earlier than the last couple of days but it is very thick in most areas. areas not as thick san francisco down to the airport a mile and a half napa 1 and 3/4 livermore 10 thicker concord and oakland about a quarter of a mile novato frances was saying down to 50 feet at times into the waldo tunnel. we have a dense fog advisory in effect until 9:00 then the winds kick in and another danger comes. we'll talk about that in a few minutes. first an update on the traffic. still keeping an eye on

southbound 101 in sausalito because two earlier accidents both on the shoulder sensors pick up a little slowing as you approach the go go bridge visibility has been down to 50 feet in the area. fog advisory issued for almost all bay area bridges. we'll show you a live shot now of the san mateo bridge you can see why be extra careful as you make your way across the span in morning. look out for thick fog at the dunbarton and richmond san rafael bridge carquinez and benicia. >> it is obvious you can't see far ahead of you as a driver. thanks for the heads-up. our top story vigil tonight for the toddler critically injured in an oakland mass shootout. investigators revealed they are zeroing in on potential suspects. terry mcsweeney is live at the police department with new information. >> reporter: police are saying they are frustrated by a lack of cooperation not only from

witnesses but victims of monday night's shooting. still they've managed to identify several suspects they are not giving out names. they've been looking at video in and around the parking lot showing events before and after the shooting. you are going to be seeing a boy's legs held by a man that is hiram walker and his father. after that three gunmen approaching along the side of the store and opening fire on a group making a music video in the parking lot. then chaos. hiram and his father exited the store and were shot the boy in the head the father in the hand. a total of seven wounded not eight as police previously reported. despite all of this, with two adults in critical and hiram fighting for i had life, witnesses are not helping -- fighting for his life witnesses are not helping police. >> we know there were a lot of witnesses we are asking the public help us identify who did this. >> reporter: all victims brought to hospitals by

private vehicles. crimestoppers offering a $35,000 reward. vigil for hiram walker is planned for this evening. no time announced for that. police looking for suspects. they haven't described them to the public. they are still looking for a motive. terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. 5:04. later this morning thousands of police officers firefighters family and friends will converge on vallejo to say good-bye to a murdered police officer. jim capoot was shotb while chasing a bank robbery suspect. amy hollyfield is live at vallejo high scene of today's funeral also where he spent a lot of time. >> reporter: the police escort will start through city streets at about 10:30 this morning and end up here at the high school where he coached. the football field is ready to go. look at all of the chairs just to give you an indication of how many people they expect here today. the stage is set.

they've got the lights on and they have security guards here to watch over it all. officer jim capoot had quite an impact on the city of vallejo. governor brown will be among the mourners today he along with an estimated 4,000 people. capoot was vallejo's officer of the year in 2000 two medals of courage and a lifesaving medal. you don't have to go far in vallejo to find someone with a personal story of how officer capoot made a difference. he also coached the girl's basketball team here at the high school. he's a former marine and he was a married father of three girls. the man accused of killing him is eligible for the death penalty in this case. 37-year-old henry albert smith entered a not guilty plea in court yesterday. police say he robbed a bank and while on the run shot and killed officer capoot. the memorial service is scheduled to start at 11:00 this morning.

his family. the public can pay respects tomorrow at the oak hill funeral home in san jose. his funeral will be held saturday in saratoga. officials in east palo alto approved putting several safety measures into place at a dangerous intersection. city council heard from residents who say major changes are needed at bay road and gloria way where a 6-year-old girl was killed by a car while walking the crosswalk in september. there have been three other serious accidents at that corner this year. state guidelines require five collisions within a year before a stop sign can be installed. officials voted to install flashing l.e.d. lights crossing signage high visibility crosswalks field signs and no parking signs nor of the intersection. >> i still think on top of those improvements stop signs would help.

>> having a stop sign there for now makes sense. >> the city is still working on a stop sign plan and can override the state's guidelines by adopting is own. san francisco has given occupy protesters until 8:00 tomorrow morning to move out. last night the group rejected an offer to move their encampment to the mission district in a heated meeting last night the crowd decided that leaving justin herman plaza was not in their best interests. the city wants to move them to a vacant lot on mission and 16th it would have water and toilets but wouldn't allow children, pets or matresses. one mission resident says the move would be a big mistake. >> there's a lot of drug trafficking, crime well-known i love my neighborhood but it is known. the people i see by the ferry building like 100 feet from that ridiculous. >> many embarcadero businesses have threatened to sue the city over the two month long

occupation. demonstrators say they need the financial district location for better visibility. they are preparing for possible arrests. oakland allowing occupy protesters to erect a teepee in frank ogawa plaza. they kept trying to put it up police would take it down. the city issued a three-day permit. the teepee has to be taken down by 10:00 every night and no one can sleep in it. protesters targeting the port of oakland again. the group says it will shutdown what it calls wall street on the waterfront december 12th. protesters held a general strike november 3rd that closed the port for hours. port officials say they are working on a plan to keep the facile -- facility open and running. dense fog once again and we think it is probably the densest we've seen all this week. >> yeah mike what do you think? >> in some areas it is the

densest we've had in concord and oakland other areas not as dense around napa and san francisco still a dominant factor in the forecast this morning. it won't hang around along. here's our area of low pressure, doesn't look impressive as it falls apart once it came ashore it is going to slide down the spine of the sierra and it is going to create the winds that will scour or clean out this fog probably starting around . it is pretty calm right now -- temperatures 50 in oakland the rest of news the 40s to 39 in livermore. in the afternoon with all that sunshine and downsloping warming winds we should hit low to mid 60s slightly warmer than average for this time of the year. dangerous winds will crank up tonight. that's when we could hit gusts of 50 miles per hour in the lower elevations to 70 miles per hour in our highest elevations. they will slowly taper tomorrow night, a lot of sun

he is still on the loose and considered armed and dangerous. police say this video shows watson and three others trying to rob shoppers in the back of a wal-mart parking lot on his parrian boulevard. two sped off in -- hess perian beautiful. the two sped off shoppers tackled a fourth suspect and held him until police got there. the 21-year-old man wounded in the attempted robbery is now recovering at home. a blistering critique of california's high speed rail project from within state government. legislative analyst office released a report on the 909 billion dollar plan. the report warns the proposed bullet train could waste billions. it says planners relied on funding mechanism that may or may not be there when needed there are legal questions that may keep the project from ever leaving the station. construction is set to start next summer on the project that is supposed to link

san francisco and anaheim. owners of a small chain of vegan restaurants are planning to sell or shutdown their eight bay area locations. cafe gratitude's owners say they've been targeted by aggressive lawsuits filed by a few employees. the suits involve issues involving wages and tips. the owners say it would cost too much to fight. the entrance will remain open -- the restaurant will remain open while it looks for buyers. google can now give you directions inside stores malls airports and transit centers in the u.s. and japan. directions and floor plans can only be viewed for now on smart pope -- smartphones and tablets that run google software. >> definitely interesting you may need a little sorting out this story.

>> reporter: you are talking about hiram walker turning two next month still in critical, fighting for his life at children's hospital in oakland. police and city officials are wondering why with that as a background nobody who was there that night is stepping up to help police maybe a crimestoppers reward of $35,000 will help. police using surveillance video to help with the investigation. three again men approaching along the side of the state market liquor store at 7th and will low open fire on a group in the parking lot who are making a rap video. some of the intended targets return fire. silver lining here, a group of men who used to be among the troublemakers now are peacemakers, visited that bloody parking lot yesterday to advocate for nonviolence. >> we'll try to deal with the people the victims try to keep 'em from retaliating. we want the gun fire to stop. >> reporter: another camera

11 this morning we'll have a live stream on abc7news.com. just about 5:35. the occupy l.a. camp is empty this morning after 1,000 police officers moved in and cleared it out. hundreds of arrests were made. katie marzullo is live with more. >> reporter: occupy l.a. one of the longest running cap s in the country -- camps in the country now it is gone. 1400 police officers moved in after midnight they arrested at least 200 people. the officers were in riot gear armed with rubber bullets none of that came into play. the raid was mostly peaceful officers say they used minimal force. crews at one point brought in a cherry picker to pluck a couple protesters from trees. the mayor and police chief give a brief news conference praising the officers. >> a lot of drug trafficking, crime 16th and mission i love my neighborhood but it is known. the people i see by the ferry

billing and market, like 100 feet from that it was ridiculous. >> reporter: that's an occupy san francisco protester we are going to talk about that. no drugs or weapons found at occupy l.a.. speaking of san francisco the campers at occupy sf defying one of the latest warnings from city officials. city leaders told campers they need to move to mission and 16th by 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, thursday morning or they will face eviction. protester voted last night not to move. saying they don't like the restrictions on the new site. those include a music and noise ban from 10 p.m. until 7 a.m.. also no pets and no kids. san francisco has not said when police would move in and dismantle the camp at justin herman plaza if occupiers don't leave on their own. katie marzullo abc7 news. 5:36. the family of a 45-year-old man killed by bart police in july is planning to file a
