northbound 880 away from the coliseum after the game. this happened at 10:36 last night. police say 15 rounds were fired from a semi automatic gun at at pore be and both the driver and the passenger were shot. the drive was found dead inside the car. the passenger was found dead on the highway. he had been shot and they believe he was hit by a car. >> this is a case where we will get to the bottom of it. we will identify the parties involved who were doing the shooting and bring them to justice prosecuting them to the full it extent of the -- fullest extent of the law. this is northbound 880 at the jackson on-ramp and they shut down all lanes at 880 as thousands of people were trying to get him from the game. 880 did not re-open until 2:40 this morning. the killer got away and officers do not know the motive.
they have not released the identity of the victims but too men if their mid-to-late 20's. >> we have developing news in castro valley. >> part of the castro valley boulevard is shut down for an investigation into an officer-involved shooting. around 11:15 last night, alameda county sheriff deputies spot add stolen car and pulled over the drive. the driver ran. a second person in the car tried to drive off dragging the deputy a short distance. that is when another deputy opened fire. the suspect was taken to the hospital and two people were arrested. we have a crew headed to the scene and we will bring you more on the story ahead in the newscast. >> happening now on capitol hill the house ways and means committee is meeting to discuss the i.r.s. scandal and accusations that the agency unfairly targeted conservative groups happening right now on capitol hill. you looking at house of

>> covering daly city, dublin, los gatos and all bay area this is abc7 news. >> welcome back at 6:14. we are following developing news, part of the castro valley road is closed after a sheriff deputies opened fire on a man and hit him. abc7 news reporter cornell bernard joins us to tell us what led to the gunfire. >> we can say that on-ramp is still shut down to westbound 580 because of the police investigation with lots of sheriff deputy cars including the suspect vehicle which is still here. it has been shut down since 11:00 when an alameda sheriff deputy spotted a stolen car and pulled over the driver the driver got out and ran. the second person of the your tried it drive off, dragging that deputy a short distance. that is when another deputy opened fire, one suspect we are told was injured in that

at the hall. police arrested five people. one officer was taken to the hospital after a clash between police and the trespassers. officers think the squatters are the same people who were evicted from an apartment building in the ocean view district. a fire alarm was pulled during a protester forcing students out of their dorm rooms and they had to show i.d.'s to get inside. >> a bicycle tour rolls into the bay area for day six of the 750-mile race with cyclists in san jose for 19.6-mile ride. on saturday they take off from livermore and circle across contra costa county before ending on the top of mount diabolo. that is a monster climb worth watching. the rice ends on sunday with stage eight from san francisco. >> the owner of the italian team will arrive if san francisco today after expressing safety concerns about the race. the fatal accident on may 9 near treasure island in the bay

humanity and one of the destroyed homes was brand new about to be turned over to new owner. another couple waited two years to get their home and it now is gone along with six of their neighbors. >> you look at the rest the houses and nothing is there. cars in trees. a car in a water tower. >> the strongest of the 16 tornadoes was an ef4 with winds up to 200 miles per hour. meet obligation mike nicco said it was on the ground for almost three miles and was half a mile wide. texas has not seen any ef4 since 1994. people would live in the area may not be allowed to return for days to their homes. this morning, 3,500 homes and businesses are without power. it could take weeks for some to get their lights back on. >> new this morning, the san jose man accused in a triple
stabbing that left a woman and child dead is due in court today. 28-year-old ruben ramirez is charged with killing his own mother and nephew and attempted murder of his niece. the niece is still recovering. san jose police say the victims were attacked at a home on wednesday afternoon. he suffers from schizophrenia and is scheduled to be arraigned today on murder and attempted murder. >> richmond police need help finding the killer of a woman called "granny." several shots hit the 64-year-old sleeping in her bed on wednesday night. she died after being rushed to the hospital. bullet holes riddled the side of the home and detectives believe the shooter targeted her son who suffered minor injuries after be grazed by a bullet. >> an 11-year-old girl is safe and a salinas man is in jail after being arrested in a federal raid on child pornography. the 58-year-old david stevens was arrested on wednesday after a nation-wide manhunt.
