is on the side of the road. an early stall at emeryville has been jammed approaching the macarthur maze back to golden gate and the 580 merge with my stepping lights on. we want to give you an update and c.h.p. unable to locate the wrong-way driver southbound 880 driving in the southbound 280 but eyewitnesses say there is someone out there drive the wrong way. bay bridge, metering lights were turned on early and we will have a look for you, but traffic, now, is backing toward the macarthur maze behind the toll plaza. >> we are continuing to follow breaking news from the east bay. one person is dead following an evernight fire at a trailer park in san leandro. police have re-opened the main road, grand avenue, where the fire occurred. police and firefighters still on the scene keeping an eye on this

trailer fire. we know an adult was called at 3:30 this morning. neighbors met the american but show was described as elderly and disabled. they tried to help her and talkd to her at some point asking her if she was okay and she said no but in the end, they felt help less. there was nothing but flames. it bursted into flames when the door opened. i couldn't save the lady. it was all flames. >> firefighters were on scene minutes after the 9-1-1 call and the fire was out ten members later but we know, now, not soon enough for the person who died inside. >> drivers are being warned there could be major delays in

the bay bridge commute again today especially in the evening. here is a look at the bridge from our yerba buena island camera and it will stake a week for the novelty to wear off of the new bay bridge span. drivers are taking in the sights. as a result some drivers reported it took an hour and a half to get from san francisco to oakland during last night's commute and transportation officials say the gawker affect could have led to congested feeling but there were 2,500 fewer cars in the same day last year. how cool is that? monumental. >> we caught up with the first driver to cross on monday night, tom shot this video enter the bridge from the northbound 880 entrance and got to the front of the pack to be one of the first drivers to cross. >> developing news in ohio and

so many empty and others think he could be waiting for the former homeland security napolitano assumes her new post. >> in the south bay, san jose is working on a plan to put more officers back on the street. the city has losing police officers at 100 a year for three years after pay and benefit cuts. now there is a $50 million proposal to fill vacancies, restore wages by ten percent, and add 141 new officers. the mayor thinks the city can fine $30 million but may have to impose a new sales tax to meet the shortfall. >> one of the ways to generate revenue to allow services and the pay cuts. it is important whether the public will support it, that is the big question. >> not everyone is in favor of the idea. there are other priorities such as roads and keeping libraries and parks open. the believes association stung by pension cuts has given it a

thumb's down. >> in santa clara there will be a rally to push for the opening of a new library which is nearly complete but ran out of the money for completion. the problem is because of a fight over re-development money. the county froze the funds saying under state law the money shoulding spent on school districts and public services not a library. >> the northern california county could secede from california if they have their way. the board of supervisors voted 4-1 to pursue succession with a laundry list of complaints. both the state legislature and congress have to approve any succession plans. officials say they want to invite other neighboring counties to form a new state. >> no one is trying to flee the weather in the bay area.

joins us with what happened. >> neighbors are struggle. they tried to help save this woman but in the under they felt helpless. you can see the damage left behind at a travel trailer. the victim's maim is not confirmed but it is a woman and elderly and disabled. they hear the woman inside and talkd to her at one point and tried to get her out prying on the locked door and breaking the window. >> i asked if she was okay and she said, no, and i was trying to keep her going, you know, so she wouldn't die. let her know we were here. >> the fire broke out after 3:30 this morning on grand avenue. firefighters were on the scene in minutes and the fire was out quickly at ten minutes after that. no other homes were damaged and fire crews still on seen trying

to determine the cause of the fire and i can report at this time that grand avenue which is in front of the fire here is open to traffic. >> the second morning commute, ever, for the new bay bridge is underway and here is a picture from the toll plaza, a very backed up toll plaza and the commute comes after the first full day saw heavy traffic and delays that lasted well into the night. our news reporter joins us at the toll plaza with explanation for what is going on. amy? >> the new bridge looks like it is leg our commute and last night's commute was a tough commute with a driver telling us her commute which lasted 25 minutes, the trip took her 80 minutes. c.h.p. officials blame the november willty of having a new

this is a shot over scene. a student was reported stabbed before classes started this morning. two people are in custody. the school is on lockdown. parents are told to stay away from the school. two people were in handcuffs but it is not clear if they were suspects in the stabbing. >> firefighters moving closer to fully containing the safer why fire burning in and around yosemite with the rim fire 80 percent contained after burning 235,000 acres. smoke is a problem. it was so thick high school soccer and tennis matches were canceled in reno. >> one of two san francisco owned hydroelectric power maps damaged by the rim fire are back on line. a third plant will be running in a few weeks. they bring power if city praises like the airport. >> after months of buildup yahoo will unveil the new logo: at 9:00, the company will reveal the new look.

they have featured a different logo on the site each day for 30 days and the company says that the new design is purple and have the exclamation point. experts say the switch could turnout to be a huge mistake because consumers usually do not like change. you may remember when san francisco-based gap changed the logo and people hated the new version on the right so the company reverted to the old one on the left. >> a lot people managed their fan teas football team from the office. >> and linked in is hoping to make more connections on wall street. >> jane king is at the new york stock exchange. jane? >> good morning! more linked in for wall street financing with the biggest professional network site hoping to sell additional $1 billion in company stock after the first offering was wildly successful. now, how are the shares this morning? trading is lower at the moment

even with the drop, though, shares are five times more than the $45 from 2011. the august el sales numbers, chrysler says they had weaker-than-expected sales but the strongest august sales since 2006 and the car provisions were more likely than 3 percent higher in august than a year ago. we have so far this morning a mixed start at the moment trading a little bit higher and the silicon valley index is up more than 1 percent. as the nfl is ready for the stat of the new season, employers could be watching the season more closely with up to 23 million fantasy no one fans spending an hour a week managing tombs at the office which results in $1 billion if lost productivity. >> the wait is finally over.
