philippines and 700,000 are evacuated from the path of a massive typhoon. what is going on, mike? >> in the philippine i will show you what is going on. what we will see is a storm that was so impressive yesterday. look at this. it traveled through the philippines and it did lose a little bit of the grip. but it still has 165-mile-per-hour winds and gusting up to 200 so it would still be a category five hurricane and still a super five football. headed to the west today, it is headed for vietnam, da nang, during the evening hours tomorrow cause a category four. it will roll through the northern sections of vietnam and become a tropical storm at that point inside the borders. >> 5:00 a.m., right now. nearly 720,000 people have been

the day planner shows a lot of fog this morning with the fog crossing the bay and coming into san francisco so if you are traveling the bay bridge it will be foggy the entire fan. you can see a lot of the western and eastern section with the new sail sticking above the fog. two hours ago when i drove through it was difficult. temperatures are in the 40's to low 50 through 7:00 and we will be in the low-to-mid 60's through the bay but inland we are around 68 degrees and we will be night and sunny with temperatures close to average at 60 at the coast mid-60's at the bay. grab a coat, it will be quiet and will cool quickly and 52 at the coast and 60 inland.

francisco, you can barely see the top of the spans of the bay bridge on the fog. afternoon sun. the fog will fade by 10:00. maybe completely gone by ten. some areas will be tougher. we have temperatures cooler but that will bring us back to seasonal highs. no real dramatic drops or rise in the temperatures. we have a chance of rain. it looks like it will be lighter and could come a day later great for veterans day with outdoor actists. we the temperatures are three to eight degrees cooler. oakland has the biggest drop because you will be the last city to see the sunshine. the fog is thick of the right there. in the valley it tends to dissipate because the valley walls will warm quicker. 68 in santa cruz and 69 this milpitas and low-to-mid 70's in the south bay and los gatos at 74 for the warm spot. upper 60's to 70 on the
peninsula. mid-60's along the coast this afternoon to mid-to-upper 60's downtown and south san francisco and sausalito. upper 60's to low 70's through the north bay and ten degrees cooler at the beaches and upper 60's to near 70 along the east bay shore and low-to-mid 70's inland. tonight, 30's in the north bay valley and the rest of us in the 40's to 50 in san francisco. as we look ahead, sunday, fine, with more cloud cover than saturday. monday we have clouds and the storm comes in north of the golden gate bridge the radar runs fall apart. any measurable rain we get will be north of the golden gate bridge tuesday in the morning. temperatures drop down and coolest monday into tuesday. leyla gulen? >> we have a repeat of yesterday unfortunately. we were reporting on this pedestrian hit in san jose and it is now a fatality. a sig-alert northbound 280 to

the way of the storm. yesterday, when it was ramping up to 195 miles per hour sustained winds with gusts up to 230 miles per hour. it weakened over land but it is still 165-mile-per-hour wind and gulfing to 200 miles per hour. it is about to pull off and headed to vietnam, specifically da nang. it will hit, you can see, our time on saturday afternoon and roll up into northern vietnam and flood them with heavy rain over the next day or so from saturday into sunday. the worst of it is almost over for philippines but, now, vietnam needs to brace for category four hurricane. >> it is 5:30 and the super typhoon battering the israel part of the country with winds of 165 miles per hour with

reaching loved ones, friends and relatives in the philippines. they are having a hard time getting information. it is tough to hear that millions of people in the fill peeps are at risk because of the storm and they cannot believe it is happening a month after the deadly earthquake. >> that is why it is devastating we have not recovered yet and here comes another serious storm, more serious storm. what can you do? it is tough. she said the people in the philippine strong and resilient. it is a challenge she knows they can survive. we got ahold of a man in the philippine on the phone and he said thousands of people are seeming shoal step in malls and schools and ports arenas but the hard part in the pay area is waiting for word.

sig-alert northbound 280, shutting down the transition road to highway 87 with plenty of traffic in the northbound direction along highway 87 which is an active scene with plannive fog. we have matt keller with pictures from the freeway. we have a pedestrian hit and killed on the 897 on-ramp from northbound 280 you can see the on-ramp is completely blocked off daysing -- blocked off causing blackups. the person is still in the middle of the two lanes on the on-ramp. i spoke with c.h.p. two vehicles hit this person. the first vehicle clipped the pedestrian. the second vehicle hit the pedestrian holds on.
this happened before 5:00 this morning. the victim is a 26-year-old man. though are not identifying the man. they are trying to figure out what he was doing on the freeway on-ramp. one of the issues is the people are trying to figure how to get to 87 from 280. that is causing a lost backup. people are slowing down and not able to get on the on-ramp. if drivers 280 north you head to meridian to get here. the scene will be blocked off for white a while. we will bring you the latest with more details. new at 6:00, the high school recent constitution rain uncovered and the 17-year-old girl accused of being a ringleader. >> the unwelcome greeting for

to highway 87 off northbound 280 with all lanes are blocked for the on-ramp so that means people driving here on 280 are having to pass this on-ramp at the highway going through downtown san jose. here is what we know what happened to the pedestrian on the freeway. two vehicles were involved in the accident. maybe possibly even a third. the first clipped the pedestrian in the fast lane of the on-ramp. a second vehicle hit the pedestrian and a third vehicle came on the scene with c.h.p. investigating whether the third vehicle hit this pedestrians. right now we know that the two vehicles are involved and we have learned that the we victim is 26-year-old man. they do not know why he was here on the freeway.
