to a double murder near north las vegas boulevard and city hall. police tell us it was in the parking lot of the silver nugget casino...where they found two people shot and killed. right now they're looking through surveillance video hoping to get a lead. if you know anything about this case...you're urged to call crimstoppers.. /// ((nia wong)) another life is taken ....after a car crashes into a trailer. it happened this morning near lamb boulevard and las vegas boulevard. metro tells us ....before midnight...a driver ran into a parked semi-truck trailer covered ar on the scene while the driver manager to survive with non-life threatening injuries. at this moment police aren't sure if this is a dui incident this is the 66th-traffic related death this year./// ((nia wong)) meanwhile... a metro police officer is behind bars in connection to a child pornography case. officer ruben delgadillo was arrested friday following a joint investigation between the "internet crimes against children task force" and

child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography./// ((nia wong)) several police officers and protesters are recovering in the hospital after a protest turns violent. police say after police shot and killed an armed man during a footchase....this sparked that protest. objects were reportedly thrown at police cars and we know one officer is in the hospital after he was hit with a brick. protestors also set four businesses o gas station. police still haven't told us why they confronted this suspect in the first place../// ((nia wong)) investigators are searching for answers after gunfire erupts at a north carolina shopping mall yesterday. ((they had a weapon just in case it was anybody. but it was just the police. then we had to walk through, well run through the store with our hands on our heads like this and we made it out. i'm just so happy to have made it out.)) ((nia wong)) >> several people suffered minor injuries as they ran out of the mall for safety.

((nia wong)) evacuation orders are still in place for south louisiana during this weekend's historic flooding. the coast guard has rescued more than 50 people from rooftops, cars and trailers in the baton rouge area. at least three people have died.... there was almost a fourth victim. rescuers found a woman and her dog stuck in a sinking car in baton rouge they managed to pull her out as the car filled with water. officials say more rain is in the forecast and flood watches through today. /// ((nia wong)) let's take a look at our own weather here in the valley. where record breaking heat continues to dominate our forecast. keely breland let's us know if the heat is going to let up before going outside. what to expect. heat continues. near record highs early this week. unsettled weather returns this week. possible thunderstorms later this week. ........................ pretty quiet throughout the southwest. arizona had some moisture
