((shakala alvaranga )) >> dave, police have been here for hours talking to witnesses and trying to figure out what led to this the shooting happened on puebla street and east san miguel avenue. police say a man was approached by three people -- when they started fighting. one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the victim. he was taken to u-m-c in critical condition, where he died. it''s unclear if police are still searching for a suspect at this hour. ((denise valdez)) a family court judge is being criticized for the way she treated a child in her court room after video of the exchange has surfaced. the i-team's vanessa murphy takes a closer look at why the

situation - and whether the judge could face consequences for her behavior toward the child. ((crying from child )) ((vanessa murphy)) tears from a twelve year old girl in front of clark county family court judge rena hughes. the child's parents' - in a custody battle...and hughes makes the decision - the father would take the girl home. we've blurred the image of the child and removed any reference to her name to help protect her identity. hughes. we were told she could not comment on the case and were referred to the presiding judge - charles hoskin. he also said he could not comment on the case, he had not seen this video, and children don't typically come to court for these hearings. ((vanessa murphy)) welthy silva showed the i-team this document stating if she did - jail for 25 days. we tried to confirm its authenticity - since again - the case is sealed, a court spokeswoman said she could not confirm or deny authenticity. we also asked judge hoskin why there was no child advocate for the girl...he said that is not the norm for these hearings.
