the developers hoping to stand out from other spaces...in a unque way. katie boer got the big tour as constriuction wraps up ahead of their grand opening in january. ((katie boer)) >>well paul... this new luory event venue is called "enclave"..just behind me...and developers told me they know that there are a lot of convention centers and but their hoping to stand out because of their background as a production company. ((katie boer)) construction is near completion for the 75-thousand square foot facility that's set to open in the middle of january. developers called this building a contentompo rary, sleek, blank slate for businesses to rent out.
huge off-strip space for meetings, conferences..with large doors leading into their main 9-thousand square foot room for trade shows to display vehicles and large equipment... there's also a ballroom for banquets and weddings, an outdoor garden and an outside strip-view deck ontop of the facility. but one thing really sets this place out from other venues... ((paul joncich)) the minnesota officer involved in a deadly shooting that was captured live on facebook earlier this year... has been charged with second-degree manslaughter. initially pulled over 32-year-old philando castile for a broken tail light. the story garnered national attention when castile's girlfriend livestreamed the incident as it turned from a routine traffic stop... to his shooting death. castile allegedly informed the officer he had a handgun... but prosecutors concluded he never tried to pull it from his pocket. officer yanez's first appearance in criminal court is set for this friday./// ((christie information on yesterday's airport shooting in oklahoma city. police have identified the man who fatally shot a southwest airlines employee as lloyd buie -- a former southwest employee himself, who resigned last year. for mild days through wednesday and southwest winds kick in and bring windy weather with possible advisories needed for wednesday. still breezy by thursday but colder with highs only in the low 60's and turning unseasonably cooler. chilly morning lows will stick around for our coldest in the high 30's only.
