>> the news starts now. we're awaiting the vote in fremont. at issue where the city's first homeless center will be built. this is an issue plaguing the entire bay area. >> the meeting in fremont. i understand the counsel started deliberation about 30 minutes ago. >> counsel members are deliberating the mayor is speaking now a vote can happen at any time. as you can see, people are standing out here waiting for the vote. they have their sign. some people have been waiting here since this morning. over 200 people. speaking to counsel members tonight about this very controversial issue. >> there was chanting outside fremont special meeting and speakers inside. >> one place makes sense. vote for city hall.

>> explaining how they feel about the city's proposed navigation center site. >> we all have concerns on how it will pan out. >> fremont and its residents have been fighting for months over the where the 45 bed facility should be built. it will give the homeless a place to live. and transition into jobs and permanent housing. >> trying to be good people and trying to help. it's not thought out. >> should the sfind over $2 million to build behind city hall or spend that money to put the center in this vacant lot. some feel the location lacks transportation options and too close to schools. others feel city hall will make the area too crowded. >> we already have people on the streets. and that's something we have to deal with. we can't imagine they're not there.

and assume they go away. >> it sounds like counsel members are voting in favor of the center. it sounds like that it will be placed right here at city hall. they still haven't made the final vote. i listened to all the counsel members and they all said they want it and want it here. we're awaiting the vote. we'll let you know when we get it. >> okay. thank you. we will get wac to you. it's been a tough few hours for teen owe brown. his formal personal trainer filed a lawsuit in court claiming he raped her. filed in florida. britney taylor alleges brown sexually assaulted her twice in 2017 and raped her last year. while he was playing for the strs. what isn't clear yet is whether the allegations have been reported to the ples police.

tonight browns lawyer releasing this statement. he denies each and every allegation in the lawsuit. he will pursue all legal remedies to not only clear his name and protect other professional athletes against false accusations. >> the woman also releasing a statement. saying in part. as a rape victim of antonio brown deciding to speak out has been a difficult decision. it removes the shame i have for a year. and places it on the person responsible. browns attorney says it was a consensual relationship. the raiders cut brown just last weekend. his new team the patriots saying late tonight the nfl is investigating. we'll have more on that part of the story later. >> one court to another. the judge recalled after his sentencing of stanford swimmer has a new job. as a coach. he has been hired as a girls tennis coach in san jose.

that's left parents and critics questioning why him? live from the school. this is the girls team. >> that's right. the jv team. the school district says it only came to the attention the coach was the former judge michael aaron. late last week. they held a meeting with parents to address the concerns. even though the season is half way done. parents said they are worried they're finding out now. but also concerned about how he ruled in the high profile case. >> former judge has traded the robe for a clipboard. he was at the center of the brock turner case. and sentenced him to six months in jail for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. many argue the sentence was too light. voters made him the first california judge to be recalled in 87 years. now he's a girls tennis coach.

in high school. he was hired this summer and qualified with a tennis background and high rating at the u.s. tennis association. one parent who is familiar with the case told me off cram they have concerns that he's the right role model to have as a coach. >> this seems like not a good fit. to me. >> the professor led the recall effort against him. any teacher or coach should be someone students are confident will take action. if they report being a victim. >> he was a overwhelmingly removed by the voters of the county. because he repeatedly exhibited poor judgment in cases of sexual misconducts involving athletes and young women. >> they couldn't find a better candidate. how many coaches are retired judges who were stellar reputations. >> retired judge who is against the recall says he hasn't committed any crime.

and because of one ruling he made has lost his job, pension and has been punished enough. >> this is someone who made a decision in a case. that was controversial. that people didn't agree. that's it. >> he declined to comment for the story. the parents i spoke with say the girls all report he is a good coach. and they are not as concerned as the parents were. with the situation. >> thank you. judge is the first california judge to be recalled in almost 90 years. you'll remember a jury found brock turner guilty of sexual assault. in 2016. he could have gotten up to 14 years in prison. he sentenced him to six months. that decision sparked out rage and the recall movement. june 2018 voters chose to remove him from the bench. >> new tonight a person of interest wanted in the death of an oakland mother of five.

identifying the man and the car in this photograph. take a close look. they want to question him about the death of 44 year-old martha. she was hit by a stray bullet as she left a wedding reception last week on east 22nd street before 1:00 a.m. police say there was an argument happening nearby. and someone fired. >> more about that driver who hit a boy in san francisco. this evening. police identified him as 29 year-old. the accident happened before 5:00 p.m. officers arrested him for dui. see him giving a check there. sobriety check. he has previous convictions for drunk driving and driving without a license. the 12 year-old boy is in critical condition. >> frustration for travelers in and out of sfo. this is live cam. we just got off the phone with the airport. today alone 332 flights delayed.

new hiv diagnoses the previous year. >> not only have we dropped diagnoses by 13%, we have finally seen this number go below 200 for the first time ever. that is significant. >> the department of public he announcing an $8 million grant to help improve out reach to areas where people are at high risk of infection. >> happening now. still discussing the issue the empty lot in berkeley. some neighbors are not on board. the city owns a small plot of land close to the bart station. that land is the focus of tonight's berkeley city counsel meet lg still gong on. the city planned to build affordable housing there. that fell through. the housing commissio wants to turn the lot into a safe parking site for people living in rvs. one person next to the lot say they are concerned. >> if you're thinking putting rvs here.

peninsula. 82 redwood city. the ocean breeze cutting down the temperatures with 68. san francisco it's split again. 70s over the mission. then closer to the ocean to the stronger breeze. and down to 67. more off to the north 87 clear lake. 88 napa. and 82 in mill valley. it warms up tomorrow. the real heat is coming. once we hit thursday friday and saturday. i'm tracking this area of high presre. i haven't seen any change. where the area of high pressure goes the heat follows. it will sit on top of the bay area. hot weather moving in. take a closer look at the surface. another change besides the heat. that is a shift in the wind. by thursday it will coming more out of the east. it's a dry wind and a little bit out of the north. the reason why that's important we have three fires at least
