monthy expenses are handled through automatic withdrawl. one of the most common, and most complained about-- are gym memberships. if your resolution was to get in shape but you're having second thoughts, ending that relationship could be harder than you thought. kolo 8 news now's kendra kostelecky explains. it was horrible in november, sparks resident brent teasley decided - it was time to end his membership at fitness connection on

if you just thought you cancelled, but the gym doesn't think that you cancelled - they may just think that you didn't pay your bill and they may send it to collections. so make sure that you follow that process. it's not easy and it may be a hassle but deal with it now. be proactive. teasley kept detailed records of his calls and emails to the gym. he presented that to his bank, which reversed the charges. kk kolo 8 news now in response to this story fitness connection offered a statement which says in part: ".. in this instance, we recognize there was an error made, and have already refunded all billing from when this member originally canceled, plus an additional two month, as a courtesy for our mistake. we encourage all members to reach out to our management--and/or contact our billing company a-b-c directly.... if they ever feel an error is made!" tim johnston says - because you may not
automatically renew it's important to regularly check your bank statement for anything unusual. if you catch a charge in time, chances are you can have it reversed. but if you don't notice a charge, and 90 days have passed it's unlikely you're going to see that money again. for more tips on protecting your money, and to read the full statement from fitness connection, go to kolo tv dot com. ### ben ross is here now with a preview of sports. -nevada vs. colorado state -- eric musselman called it the best win of the season -- we'll have the highlights and a big day for a south tahoe skier at the x
