50s and 60s in the area. three things to remember about today. gradual warmup inland. warmest weather on friday and saturday. the coastal clouds are likely to impact the viewing of the ech beaches in the mid-60s. we'll see around noon the clearing around the bayside, 60s to low 70s. 70s with the sunshine around the peninsula back through our inland areas all the way up to 89 degrees. warmest spot towards cloverdale. full forecast at 18 minutes after the hour but right now, she is busy. here's jaclyn dunn. we are tracking a car fire. this is along the eastshore freeway eastbound 80 at fitzgerald. no slowing. but we are seeing delays on the richmond parkway if you use atto 580. we are seeing a lot of yellow on the sensors. an earlier accident still has debris in the road westbound

spark more violent clashes in the city. berkeley's mayor says illegal weapons will bconfiscated and protestors and counter- protestors will be separated. he also says he is working coun on campus that day. some confederate monuments are being removed following the virginia. this monument in hollywood is being removed after a local petition got attention. it marks the graves of confederate soldiers. a member of the united daughters of the confederacy agreed to remove it after threats of violence against the group. and baltimore city council has voted unanimously to take down four monuments. the mayor says that some of the monuments will be sent to confederate cemeteries. a new report is providing a warning of what would happen if

president trump ends subsidy payments to health insurers. the cbo says insurance premiums for the popular silver plans would go up to 20% next year and 25% higher by 2020. the report also estimates the federal deficit would rise by $194 billion over the next decade. the payments are made to health insurers to help poor people without of pocket costs. an investigation is under way into a freeway shooting on 880. jessica flores is live in hayward this morning with the latest. >> reporter: this is the second freeway shooting on 880 this week alone. now, chp is saying that two teens were riding in a car when another car the suspect car pulled up and flying. this all happened just south of highway 92. chp says the victim's car what the shot at but the suspect didn't strike anyone in the

hethe victims had minor injurie from broken glass. chp closed the stretch of freeway. they are still looking for the suspect. . >> onlookers saw a person in a car shooting at another vehicle. >> reporter: that previous shooting on 880 this week happened monday morning. a suspect pulled up to another car near the lewelling exit and shot the driver in the head. at last check, the victim was in the hospital in critical condition. chp looking for that suspect. no word whether those two shootings are investigated. the northbound lanes here in hayward on 880 are open. jessica flores, kpix 5. there is new information about a mobile home fire in san jose. we now know three people have

daughter get her diploma. >> this is a [ indiscernible ] [ extremely heavy spanish accent ] >> reporter: they will eir ungest child wi th mexico, w is take12. the other three daughters will stay here in the u.s. two of them are in their 20s so they will have to take care of each other, finish off their school. oakland mayor libby schaaf is calling on the federal government to reverse the couple's deportation saying, quote, i believe in keeping families together. we'll do everything in our power to keep maria with her family. now, new data reveals between january and june of this year, i.c.e. agents have arrestednearly 55,000 people here in the u.s. illegally, 37% more arrests than the same time last year. we are waiting to find out what

22-minute commute. 101 at 380 right another sfo, traffic doing well in both directions. if you have a flight to catch you should be good to go driving there at least. right now over at the maze, this is a look at the macarthur maze where 580, 880 and 80 meet up to head over towards the toll plaza there. traffic is backed up to the foot of the maze. we have the metering lights on. that is proof. we are in the yellow a little over 13 minutes from the maze into san francisco. thank you. right now in hayward, authorities are investigating a freeway shooting on i-880. jessica flores is live in hayward with ildes tahas seen this week. >> reporter: this happened around 10 p.m. last night. two teenagers were riding in one car when the suspect edd sh into vecl uhipull p e car. bullets were flying.

this all happened in the northbound lanes of 880 just south of highway 92. chp says the victim's car was shot at multiple times but the suspect didn't hit anybody. the victims had minor injuries from broken glass. chp closed down this part of the freeway collecting evidence. they are still looking for the suspect. >> we responded the hayward police department where we contacted thd th ann r vie ctim weapon at this point. >> reporter: this is the second freeway shooting on 880 this week. early monday morning a suspect pulled up to another car near the lewelling exit and shot the driver in the head. the driver is in critical condition. chp still looking for the suspect. it's too early to tell if these two case are related.

they say they are still looking into that at this hour. we are standing here on highway 880 in hayward and right now the lanes are open. no traffic backups. back to you. >> thank you. in san francisco, a suspected shoplifter is recovering after being shot by a security guard. it happened outside the burlington coat factory at 5th and howard streets a busy intersection in soma. it started when the security guard confronted the man over the alleged theft. from there things unraveled quickly. the shoplifter is in critical condition but is expected to survive. keeping the air we breathe safe is what two whistle- blowers say got them fired. now they are suing the former employers, the bay area air quality district. the two claim they were instructed to destroy public
