unsure where exactly was it. it sounded like it was right in our back yard. >> one person on the plane is confirmed dead and a few homes near the crash scene had to be evacuated. new details on the fatal police shooting in san jose on christmas morning. >> cellphone video capturing the moment officers fired into a vehicle. led on a chase and then rammed up a patrol car. a female suspect was killed. the chase was in response to an earlier shooting on the east side. >> the first stabbing was on jesse street between 6th and mint streets. this happened at 5:30 on monday night. a 70-year-old woman died at the scene. the second stabbing happened

just after 12:30 a.m. on market streets. sf p.d. has arrested a 27-year-old homeless man in connection to that attack and are now investigating whether he was responsible for the first one. time check it's 5:09 an oakland church is proving it knows the true meaning of holiday on christmas. >> the church and its parishioners came up with the plan to set up beds and blankets. they've also been serving people through christmas eve and today. >> just to have somebody to tell you to come in many and we're going to feed you and house you for as much time as they can, it's a wonderful thing. >> i'm hoping it catches on and other churches are opening their doors to say hey, ya'll can come in and stay. >> that's bishop keith clark.

mainly clear skies. we'll see northwesterly winds at 10 to 20 miles per hour this afternoon and evening. we're looking at a cool day. but seasonal for this time of year. we're going to stay dry through the end of 2018. so it does look dry and quiet across our region. so we're going to be on the tail end of a dry cold front. there's an upper level low well to our north and it's going to drag the tail end of a dry front our way and that will really just bring breezy conditions and you can see this on future cast taking you through the afternoon with clear skies as we go through tonight. could see some patchy clouds. this is at 10:00 p.m. and other than that still looking at plenty of sunshine as we end out the week. we're going to fast forward all the way into new year's day. this is at 4:00 p.m. and you can see that ridge of high pressure will be the dominant weather feature for us. first, new year's forecast and what you can expect for monday night looking at temperatures at

traffic is light. another perspective of 880 our live caltrans shot right now with 880 at passeo grande. so let's get a look at that and you can see traffic is moving pretty well as you that area. >> taking a look at other parts through the bay area. if you're headed southbound all the way into fremont you shouldn't have any troubles along the nimmets freeway. we are monitoring these maps. a car did go down the embankment. major injuries reported in this crash. we did see a lot of activity for chp and emergency crews waiting on a tow truck to clear it back on to the roadway. right now no delays but they may take away one lane just in case. let's take a look at that forecast. sunny skies here's mary. >> that's right. we're going to keep that sunshine going for us. we're going to do again today. also we're going to see some

breezy conditions as we head through the afternoon and evening. but a live look with our south bay san jose cam. good morning to you. we are looking at mainly clear skies across our region and a chilly start for sure. so temperatures are running in the 30s, 40s as we start off our wednesday here. 39 in concord. looking at 50 in oakland. 35 livermore. downtown san francisco 49. 42 currently? san jose and 35 for santa rosa. so mainly clear. chilly conditions. this is what you can expect as we head through the afternoon. sign and breezy. anywhere from 10 to 20 miles per hour. a cool but seasonal afternoon for us. so temperatures near where we should be for this time of year and we're going to stay dry through the end of 2018 as high pressure really remains in control for us. so the satellite and radar view we're tracking this upper level low well to our north and the tail end of this dry cold front will push across our region.
