temperatures. mid 60s san jose and low 60s for concord. so temps running anywhere from 1 to 5 degrees above average. we'll talk about those chances coming up. good morning and let's get a first look at this traffic tuesday this morning. so far traffic moving at the limit as you make your way. things are moving pretty nice. overall pretty easy ride out of the east bay into san francisco. seen a lot of green on our sensors so that's good news this morning. no delays 101 off to 880. we do have an accident not affecting the main lights we'll keep an eye on that and we're starting to see the first line of slowing once you're past there traffic looks great. we are learning more about

the minutes leading up to the helicopter crash that killing kobe bryant and others. . >> federal investigators are pain stakingly examining the helicopter crash. his daughter gianna and several others went down sunday. >> a piece of the tail is down the hill on the left side of the hill. >> the helicopter took off at 9:06 a.m. headed for a basketball tournament in nearby thousand oaks when it ran into thick fog. >> you're still too low levelled for a flight following at this time. >> the pilot did not signal distress but he was climbing to avoid a cloud layer before slamming into a hillside. >> we'll be looking at other

hong kong's leader says they're so concerned about the chronic in a virus that they are stopping train service between hong kong and main line china. the high speed and regular train stations will be closing starting on friday. so at the end of the week, no one will be able to go in or out of hong kong. so far 106 people have died from that flu-like disease that was first identified in december and as we've been talking about five confirmed cases in the u.s., none here in the bay area although there are some in southern california. so far no deaths reported in the united states from the corona virus. 4:38 as you take a live look at capitol hill where president trump's team is provided opening arguments. new information may cause some republicans to break party lines. senate majority leader mitch mcconnell has a hard line stance against admitting new evidence or testimony so far.

an up coming book from former national security advisor john bolton has some new allegations. he wanted to freeze aid to ukraine until the ukrainian government assisted with investigations into democrat candidates. and now that a direct testimony may be available, some gop senators may be able to admit bolton. as a witness. >> john bolton has a relevant testimony. >> the senators cannot hide from a relevant witness who has come forward and indeed. now trying to figure out a way to stop it from happening again. these ijs caught the armed robbery in oakland's ridgemon.t

neighborhood. oakland city council member lauren taylor and oakland police met with concerned residents last night hoping to improve public safety. >> it's obviously unnerving. so our residents are very understandably concerned about how they can keep themselves safe. >> the ridgemonte neighborhood is setting up a watch and the homeowner's neighborhood made plans to stall more security cameras.. police are searching for the suspects involved in an oakland freeway shooting. that person is now in critical condition. the suspects are described as masked individuals driving a white suv hatchback. chp officers are actively investigating this morning. if you have information on this shooting you're asked to call the ch.p tipline. kgw's michelle kpi --
