now santa clara county is spending millions of dollars to get ready for the next disaster. >> if you find yourself in a community that has not burned, it will eventually. >> reporter: santa clara county fire battalion chief mike matheson will be running the county's newly approved wildfire resilience program. a pilot program that will be rolled out to cupertino, and saratoga. he is hiring for a brand-new team. an eight-person crew that will be the first of its kind in the county to clear brush on public property, maintain fuel breaks, and venture escape rates are viable and safe. once more, the county will add a brand-new specialist to come out and personally inspect properties. matheson says attitudes are shifting. >> higher to five years ago, there was not a lot of -- this hasn't happened to me so why should i worry about it. we are trying to create a program that is going to help them do the right thing. >> the more prepared the public

kind of a wild scene at the hollywood bowl last night. the 23-year-old man armed with a knife was arrest did after charging the stage as dave chapelle was wrapping up his comedy said. cbs reporter has the story from los angeles.

>> reporter: the moment a spectator rushes the stage and tackles comedian dave chapelle at the hollywood bowl. it took was right as chapelle was wrapping up his set. he appeared to be uninjured. security quickly apprehended his attacker. the man was then kicked and punched repeatedly by security guards. the suspect is identified as 23- year-old isaiah lee. >> the weapon that was recovered is really discussing in the sense that manufacturers allow them to do this. it is actually a replica of a handgun. semi automatic black pistol. from the barrel of it extended a dagger. >> reporter: the lapd is investigating the security breach. >> how did the suspect get into the venue? there are numerous checkpoints surrounding the entire venue to check for any type of weapons but how he slipped through is a mystery to all of us. >> reporter: chapelle brushed off the incident. he thanked jimmy fox for checking on his well-being just as the trouble unfolded.

thursday night into fair friday. what were going to see is more cloud cover overhead. cooler weather arriving tomorrow and sticking around for the rest of the weekend into the weekend. the symptom of the marine layer sticking around the coast today was the fog that has just been clinging to the coast and sticking in the golden gate. that is going to spread out as we head into the rest of this evening and tonight. starting up tomorrow morning with some locally dense fog, but also cloud cover up in the atmosphere. the first of the parade of storm systems makes its way to our north. those clouds unlikely to drop any precipitation on us on thursday. the fog out there should back up toward the coast by late morning. mid day at the latest. don't get your hopes up much in the way of measurable rain. 20% rain chances north of the golden gate. thursday night into friday. again on sunday. and then again monday night into tuesday. we will keep you updated as is

upper 60s for oakland in the east bay. thicker clouds overhead a little earlier in the day keeping you cooler than other inland parts of the bay area. likely to sneak up to just above 70 degrees. temperatures will stay near or even below average as we head into the we can. looks like mother's day on sunday is going to be the coolest day in the seven-day forecast. a chance for a shower right along the coast. tomorrow night into friday. again on sunday. and monday night into tuesday. these are real slight chances. we will take a look at the first one on futurecast coming up 5:30. >> i like those chances.
