if i can see most of the damages done in front of the warehouse. this is where the young family and neil young. he's the owner of the contents appeared the fire was concentrated on the front part of the warehouse they were able to save the at least 70% of the valuables. there were able to save 70% of it there were able to take it out from the backside as they fought the front of the fire. there were plenty of warehouses surrounding this one so they were concerned about is not spreading. they really put all their efforts in housing it down from the front side. they got the latter route and hosing down from above they put it out fairly quickly. >> that street is still blocked off in the estimate on when they will clear that scene?

7:30 a.m. top stories this morning of fire at a warehouse owned by neil young causes more than a million dollars damage. more on this. oakland police shoot and kill a man who was possibly an armored appeared we are watching wall street as well the market is trading at levels we have not seen since 2008. we are seeing wavering this morning the latest minutes >> it is so cold out there and we are locked in an from yesterday. it will take awhile to get out of the weather. look at the cloud coverage. mostly we have a lot of sun but not warm. >> the cloud cover will be a bit more it will move in throughout the day just ahead of a system that is expected to bring us showers. starting with the cold and ending with the wet. we will warm up nicely.

young's business are here they are walking out not making any comments to the media. this place has security but not exclusively to this place there is a security patrol and the fire started at about 255 they believe it started in the front of the place at this point it does not appear suspicious it took about an hour to put to the fire route by the town was putting out 30 percent of the contents inside were damage possibly destroyed. 70 percent still in there and that number could go up or down depending on what the firefighters find as they go through there. they're worried about hot spots and as soon as it is clear that will send more people and to evaluate the damage. >> do we know of neil young is in town right now? >> we don't know i asked the public information officer. they know he lives in the bay area but i will try to find out from his

investigators were at the scene of a fatal officer shooting. it happen before 10:00 p.m. last night officers were called to a disturbance at a laundromat on bancroft avenue of the suspect ran off when police arrived. they tracked him down and at some point shot and killed him. at this point he doesn't appear he was armed with a weapon so it is unclear why the officers opened fire. >> 7:37 a.m. back with more of a moment. the bay bridge you can see 880 is stacked up. this back up extends pass the parking lot by the army base. we will be right back.
