for an armed robber who has hit at least ten stores throughout the east bay over the last two months. investigators say the robber pistol-whipped a 59-year old drugstore clerk during a february 1 robbery at a hayward walgreen's store. the suspect has hit drugstores and sandwich shop chains in hayward, fremont, san leandro, oakland and berkeley. police say it appears to be the same lone suspect based on descriptions from witnesses. they describe the robber as a black man in his twenties, about 5'10". he has a skinny build and a distinct oval-shaped birthmark on his cheek . san francisco please continue to investigate the death of a man that they believe may been murdered. san francisco homicide detectives are investigating the killing of a 65-year-old man in his nob hill apartment. police say the man's body was found by officers called to do a welfare check around 6:15 p.m. friday. few details have been released, but a police spokesman says there were what he termed "obvious signs of trauma" on the man's body. the san francisco medical examiner has identified the man, but has not released his name pending notification of relatives. >> darya: new details on the

nasdaq are both up. back in the bay area. police in several east bay cities are asking for help in finding the man who has robbed at least ten drugstores and sandwich shops in fremont, hayward, san leandro, oakland and berkeley in the last two months. authorities say in at least one case, the robber has pistol-whipped a drugstore clerk. the robber is an african-american man in his 20's. he's 5'9" with a skinny build wearing a red hoodie, a black-and-red possibly cincinnati reds baseball cap, blue or black pants and carrying a black gun. several witnesses say the man has an oval-shaped birthmark on his cheek.san francisco homicide detectives are investigating the killing of a 65-year-old man in his nob hill apartment. police say the man's body was found by officers called to do a welfare check around 6:15 p.m. friday. few details have been released, but a police spokesman says there were what he termed "obvious signs of trauma" on the man's body. the san francisco medical examiner has identified the man, but has not released his name pending notification of
