san jose where the funeral service will take place at noon today. mike pelton is live outside the h-p pavilion with the details. >> 15,000 people can fill h- p pavilion at the funeral is held here in san jose and not santa cruz because such a large crowd is expected. the procession will begin in santa cruz are around 845 this morning. a motorcade will travel along highway 17 to san jose. the memorial service begins at noon and will last about several hours of about 3:00. those in santa cruz and cannot make the trip to san jose the kaiser permanente aery now will open its doors and broadcast the service. you also watch the service on our a live outcast at 0193 or on kron4 .com. possibly it expected an attendant our law enforcement agencies across the community barry.

it has done to the drive time bringing that up to 32 minutes. i am getting word from california highway patrol about a problem in crockett. this is at the west end of the cooking is bridge. /d. this could mean a major type 480 west. you may have to start using interstate 780 and heading over to the benicia bridge. i do not have complete confirmation and the chp has not yet entered the scene. >> all of these problems on the lower east shore freeway

the procession will have to do so before they reach highway 17. likely that will be closer to 9:00 since they actually did not get off on time. if you enter highway 17 behind procession you will not be allowed to pass. >> if you want to avoid it you can use highway 9 to get through the santa cruz mountains. but once you are in the valley you will going to be seeing a lot of extra traffic on highway 85, on the guadalupe parkway here, at on highway 101 as the house and the roads. the return will be in the afternoon likely around 230. it would not be a procession for say there will be a lot of slow-moving traffic on the southbound side of the freeway. where tracking a hot spot earlier this morning drive time dropping below 28 minutes on the shore freeway. while it is still a heavy ride is no longer a hot spot for the

toward highway 17. when it reaches 17 the procession will then move northbound through the santa cruz mountains. let me show you on the traffic map what you expect. now it is fairly light traffic through the mountains. but what the procession moved from highway one ought to 17 or, there'll be a closure not at a roadway but cross traffic. there'll be units protecting the cross traffic on 17. once, the procession hit 17 no vehicles will be allowed to pass it. if you are not already on highway 70 northbound and you're likely watching this from where you are you will want to use an alternate route like highway 9 or tie 101. remember in san jose were likely because of the slow traffic on 70 to see heavier than usual traffic on '85
