we're following on the tuesday, july 23rd. new video coming out this morning of southwest flight making a rough landing at laguardia airport. the latest on status of the runways. negotiations are on hold as another bart strikes looms. we'll show you what's happening with both sides. and the united kingdom is *blue this morning as the country celebrates the newest addition to the royal family. a baby boy. laguardia is fully operating again this morning following the hard landing of a southwest airlines jet. this is new surveillance video just released of the incident. the nose gear on the plane arriving from nashville, collapsed after landing yesterday.

officials say 10 passengers were treated at the scene, and six were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. the airport was closed for more than an hour. 150 people were on board. here is what passengers said about what happened. >>: very chaotic. a flight attendants were crying. and >>darya: the f-a-a and n-t-s-b are investigating this incident.

the disabled plane is causing some arriving flights to be delayed about two hours at laguardia this morning. following a developing story this morning. a palo alto man has died after a plane he was piloting crashed near south lake tahoe. steven lefton and his wife karen were the only ones in the single engine plane. the f-a-a says it crashed in a wooded area around 11- 15 yesterday morning after taking off from south lake tahoe airport. karen was injured in the

crash-- she is expected to be okay. >>will: this is what we do not read this happened at about 115 this morning it involved a seven month baby boy. investigators will be looking into many things including foul play. they also will take a look at sudden infant death syndrome. at this point they do not have a cause of death. we are on the scene and we will try to get more information to you as it becomes available. reporting from san jose, will tran, kron4 news. >>james: from another possible bart strike. bart management and bart unions the are trying to come to an agreement before the august 4th deadline. no face to face talks are

scheduled for the rest of the week. however, the state mediator did schedule meetings with the unions - not with bart. one of the unions put out a 40-page report - criticizing barts lead negotiatorthomas hock. saying he's been involved in negotiations that have resulted in seven transit strikes since 2005. let's hear from both sides now. the bart unions say hock is gone for the next 10 days. bart says he's gone for 5 days. but is available by phone. something that was previously agreed upon by

the mediator. bart still thinks there's time to reach a new contract. the next face to face talks are set to start on the 30th >>mark:prince william and his wife catherine, duchess of cambridge have welcomed their first child into the world. a boy, who weighed eight pounds and six ounces. though we don't know his name, the little prince of cambridge is a cause for celebration in london. prime minister david cameron offered his congratulations to prince william and his wife catherine, on the newborn prince.

the accident happened just after three friday afternoon on 12th avenue near geary boulevard. police didn't release the information until yesterday. the double-decker open air tour bus went off route when the wire hit the windshield of the top level of the bus, then struck several passengers on the upper deck. the bus which is owned by big bus tours of san francisco, said the vehicle was on a secondary route

research center surveys both found 86 percent of african-americans disapproved of the verdict. while a majority showed a majority of whites agreed with the jury's decision. the poll also found women, younger people and democrats were more likely to disapprove of the verdict. zimmerman was acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of trayvon martin-- an unarmed african-american teen. zimmerman said he shot martin in self-defense. >>mark:the fate of kids brought to the country illegally is on the table today. the house works on a series of bills dealing with immigration after house republicans rejected a comprehensive senate a house committee is holding a hearing on what to do about such child immigrants. leaders of the house judiciary committee are expected to endorse a path to citizenship for at least some of those immigrants. but they may face opposition from democrats, who are pushing for a

comprehensive solution that deals with all 11 million immigrants here illegally, not just some of them. >>darya:debate begins today on a nearly 600 billion dollar defense spending bill. a rare coalition of tea party conservatives and liberal democrats in the house have secured votes on amendments to that defense bill. they include limits on secret u.s. surveillance programs and requiring congressional approval on the obama administration's plan to help syrian rebels. >>james:door-to-door mail delivery could be a thing of the past if house republicans get their way.

it's part of a proposal to overhaul the u-s postal service. under the plan, residents would pick up their mail from clusters of mail boxes located in their neighborhood. most apartment complexes and new communities already adopt this form of mail delivery. but-the bill would require everyone to get mail from a curbside or cluster box. ending door-to-door delivery would save the cash- strapped postal service about 4-point-5 billion dollars a year. but unions say it's a bad idea - and will be disruptive for the elderly and disabled.

"mi pueblo" says it would keep all 21 stores open as it reorganizes the chain. a company spokesperson says the chapter 11 bankruptcy will allow stores to remain open for business, while it sorts out its differences with wells fargo. jose, will tran, kron 4 news. >>darya:police in morgan hill have arrested a 16- year-old boy suspected of raping a drunk woman after he and his mother helped a cab-driver carry her into her house. investigators say the taxi driver flagged down the boy and his mother, who happened to be driving in the area, to get the woman inside her house friday. police believe the teen returned to the woman's home later that night, assaulted her and came back with his girlfriend and another friend to burglarize the home. investigators do not believe the girls knew about the rape. san mateo police are asking for the publics help in identifying a man who they believe molested a 10-year- old girl back in june at a book store. officers released these

surveillance images yesterday of the suspect. police say the girl was reading with her family at the hillsdale shopping center barnes and noble on june 23rd around 3 p-m when she was approached by the suspect. the suspect led the girl to a more secluded area in the store, exposed himself to her and her inappropriately. the suspect was last seen getting into a dirty black or gray four-door car in the store parking lot. >>james:two dozen county clerks in the bay area backed the state's supreme court saying they believe they should *not stop issuing same-sex marriage licenses. court in san francisco came in response to the first of two lawsuits submitted to the panel in the past 10 days by opponents of same-sex marriage. both lawsuits ask the court
