way out, surrounded by trees; it'd have been an inferno in minutes." >> the fire sent up a large plume of smoke and flames visible from the bay bridge. the fire is now contained. >> targeted on the highway-- in this a story you'll see only on kron 4-- a sunnyvale woman says, her windows were shot at -- possibly by someone with a b-b or pellet gun. while she was driving on the freeway through san jose. kron four's philippe djegal reports on the incident the woman calls 'chilling'. >> she believes the issue was targeted by someone shooting at her vehicle. she and her 11 year-old nephew drove up interstate 80 in san jose. she stated that the shooting happened between--this was about 4:30
p.m. saturday afternoon. she is not sure where the shots came from but as possible that someone shot above a wall on the interstate. >> i i felt something below what. >> i was not really scared and so we pulled over and the police arrived. they wanted to check the area and that is when i started to get scared. >> some of the shattered glass landed on patrick but him or rosy were not injured. she said that one of the car was also hit. she took a picture of the dead. chp responded and this incident is under investigation. >> whoever is doing this, this is stop. >> this incident comes more than two weeks after two teenagers turned themselves into police, for shooting a b-b gun towards at least a dozen vehicles driving on highway- 101 in san jose. there were no reports of
injuries in those shootings. >> a earthquake that shook parts of the eat bay last night-- has been downgraded from a three-point- one magnitude earthquake to a magnitude three earthquake. the u-s-g-s reported the earthquake struck just before 9: 30 and was centered two- miles east- northeast of berkeley. no reports of any injuries of damage. >> police in fremont are asking investigating a hit- and-run crash that injured a bicyclist last month. police say on september 25th, there was a crash between a car and a bicyclist at the intersection of paseo padre parkway and washington boulevard. arriving officers found a non-responsive 20-year-old woman laying in the crosswalk with a damaged bicycle. a witness said a black vehicle -- possibly a 4- door -- drove through the intersection and struck the bicyclist. the driver did not stop or return to the scene. police say it is possible that the driver was unaware of the impact

>> happening now, off one on interstate 80 at east karo son, near richmond is close to this morning. this is after a tractor-trailer overturned overnight. kron4 mike pelton is live at the scene with an update. they have this entire area blocked off this overturned tanker is some eastern part of the ram. here is the videos. >> you concede that this second tanker is on its side. fire crews stated they are not sure how this happens. the authorities are now speaking with the driver

two dozen passengers have filed lawsuits against asiana airlines. >> in the meantime, this crash has raised a number of questions about how well pilots are monitoring their aircraft-- and whether they are trying to land, when they should abort a landing. it turns out, prior to the asiana crash, these issues were already being studied. kron 4's dan kerman spoke to safety experts. in an interview you'll see only on 4. >> it was a 1 and 1/2 seconds before flight 214 crashed into a wall of san francisco. pilots first discovered this or doing a go or around as it is called. in this case, the decision came too late to make a difference. it turned out that study shows that most pilots tend to land in any way despite the policies with acquiring them to abort. >> why do 97 percent of the
