>> in oakland, protests were held outside the building where negotiations took place over the weekend. one man was carrying and wearing signs calling for a ban on transit strikes, the protestor paced the block. at times marching in front of union members as they walked in and out of the building. an orinda city councilman also spent the day handing out flyers at the rockridge bart station, trying to gather signatures for a petition, in support of changing state law to keep transit workers from walking off the job. >> if management and labour cannot work out everything than they should not be held liable. this affects california and should be banned just like it is in any other major place. it is just too destructive. >> councilman glazer says he's collected thousands of signatures for his on-line
