graduation... for wearing his military uniform. 18-year-old harland fletcher from brentwood is a u-s army reserve medic for the state of california. fletcher wanted to wear his military uniform to graduation at liberty union high school... something he says he discussed in advance with several school officials. but because he did not wear his cap and gown over his uniform.. he says the school did not allow him to cross the graduation stage. it is against military uniform code to cover a service uniform. but this morning.. the district's superintendent is responding to the incident. writing..."on behalf of the liberty union high school district, i publically apologize to him and his family for this incident. no

( mark ) breaking news from overnight... another arrest has been made in the london bridge terror attack. a 19-year-old man is being held on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts. investigators say the man was

arrested after police carried out a raid late last night in east london. six other men remain in custody... after the june 3-rd terrorist attack that left eight people dead and dozens wounded. ( mark ) british police have released new surveillance images of the manchester bomber. now they are trying to gather information on the car he was driving weeks before the attack. police say they found bomb making materials in that car. also police have released the last two people who were being held for questioning. investigators say the bomber worked alone to build the bomb that killed 22 people at an ariana grande concert last month. ( james ) a man is arrested for shooting at a church statue in san leandro. police are now investigating it as a possible hate crime. this happened saturday afternoon at the saint felicitas church. church members have since lined up to see the damage left by eight bullets hitting the statue of a catholic saint. police found a man who matched witnesses' description of the gunman shortly after the shooting. there was a struggle during the arrest and

police found a gun on his waistband. parishioners spoke to kron four about his possible motive for the shooting. ( james ) police have not yet released any information about the man they arrested in connection with the shooting. a deacon at the church does not have an estimate for the damage. he says church staff will meet to decide whether to repair, replace or leave the statue as is. (mark) the alameda county sheriff's department needs help finding a man who went missing in lake tahoe. deputies say dan pham got in his kayak last thursday at lester beach and has not been seen since. his brother is a sheriffs deputy in alameda county. search efforts by the el dorado county sheriff, the u-s coast guard and state agencies were unable to find him. mother has been charged in the death of her two daughters after leaving them inside a hot car for several hours. investigators say amanda hawkins intentionally left her one and two-year-old girls inside the car from tuesday night to wednesday afternoon. temperatures reached up to the 80's during that time. police say she was visiting a friend at the time and when someone told her that her kids were crying - she said they would cry themselves to sleep. a former friend of hawkins says she stopped hanging out with hawkins because of the way she treated her daughters. she even considered calling child protective services. (mark) hawkins told doctors they collapsed while smelling flowers but later admitted to police what happened. (james) attorney general jeff sessions has agreed to testify before the senate intelligence committee. it's not clear whether it will be a public hearing or conducted behind closed doors. the panel will decide.

sessions recused himself from overseeing the federal investigation into possible collusion between the trump campaign and russia back in march. this after admitting he met twice last year with the russian ambassador to the u-s and not disclosing those meetings when he received his security clearance.. sessions will likely face questions from senators not only about those meetings... but also about his involvement in the firing of f- b-i director james comey. (mark) there are new efforts in the fight to keep the raiders in oakland. a news conference will be held later this morning to address the raiders move to las vegas. the group "stand with oakland" is now working with several sports lawyers to fight the nfl's decision to move the oakland raiders to las vegas. the group says their focus is on keeping professional football in oakland. (mark) happening today... crews in contra costa county will begin fixing alhambra road... months after it was washed out during severe winter storms. the repairs will happen between the intersections of castro ranch and pinole valley roads. officials say the work will include the installation of a 60-foot long bridge that will have shoulders for bicycles and pedestrians. construction is scheduled to be finished by the end of september. (james) gas prices remain mostly unchanged after rising

over the last month. the average price of gas dropped less than a penny per gallon over the last three weeks. analysts say that gas prices in the coming weeks may decline unless crude oil prices rebound quickly. taking a look at gas prices around the bay area. in oakland and san jose it costs $3.13 for a regular gallon of gas. and in san francisco it will cost you $3.24. that is the highest average price in the country. (james) president trump's plan to privatize the nation's air traffic control system could mean more expensive flights. that's according to new york senator charles schumer. he says that the plan the president announced last week would give airlines too much control over costs. under the plan, president trump wants to separate air traffic control operations from the f-a-a. he says that would increase safety and reduce passenger wait times. a 13-member board would oversee the system. but this morning critics are worried this would give airlines more power to raise fees for passengers.

( mark ) new this morning the city of washington d-c and the state of maryland are planning to sue president trump. the lawsuit claims that the president violated anti-corruption clauses in the constitution by accepting millions of dollars from foreign governments after he took office. the district attorney for maryland say the president broke a promise to keep his businesses separate from his administration. the president had said that his businesses would be run by his sons in order to avoid a conflict of interest. the white house has not yet responded to this lawsuit. ( mark ) the newly elected montana congressman greg gianforte has agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor assault for body slamming a reporter. a journalist was asking then-candidate gianforte a question about health care when gianforte physically attacked the reporter, body slamming him at one point. gianforte has since apologized and promised to donate 50- thousand dollars to the committee to protect journalists. a misdemeanor assault conviction carries a maximum penalty of up to six months in jail and a fine of up to 500-hundred dollars. discussing the fate of its c-e- o today. uber management has been accused of turning a blind eye to harassment, discrimination and bullying. the accusations are being investigated by former attorney general eric holder. the board met yesterday to consider recommendations made by holder. the meeting comes days after the company fired 20 employee for bad behavior. the board is considering asking c-e-o travis kalanick to step down amidst all the controversy. ( james ) the next lyft car you book may soon be a jaguar or a land rover. the british company behind the two car brands is investing 25- million dollars into lyft. as part of the investment, jaguar and land rover agreed to supply a fleet of its cars. the investment focuses on helping the san francisco based company develop its own self-driving cars. the deal comes less than a month after lyft announced a partnership with google's self-driving car copmany "waymo." lyft has also partnered with general motors

to research self-driving ride- hailing. ( mark ) a construction worker is now in the hospital after dangling from a 17-story building in florida. it happened yesterday morning when one of the cables of the scaffolding snapped. the worker was stranded for more than an hour until firefighters were able to rescue him. he is now in the hospital getting treatment. police have not said how badly he is injured. a second worker was also stranded with him, but other people on the construction crew were able to save him. of the casing.(mark) passengers say they heard a big noise and smelled something burning. the crew noticed the damage after take-off. the captain decided to take the plane back to the airport after finding the hole. (james) a plane crashes just steps away from a church in florida in the middle of a sermon. (mark) it happened yesterday when a small plane crashed near a baptist church. the pilot told church leaders something went wrong inside the plane and he knew it was going down.. two church members who are nurses rushed out to help him until paramedics arrived. the pilot is expected to be ok. ( mark ) and last night a small memorial was also held in san francisco to remember the victims of the shooting. and kron 4 spoke with a woman who lost a friend in the massacre. she says they want to emphasize that it is time for people to speak out against bigotry.

on the right were rallies in los angeles and charlotte, north carolina. people celebrated the gains of lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender americans. activists also marched in the street with a message for the white house... activists are angry by some of president trump's actions including the rollback of federal guidance advising schools to let transgender students use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their chose. the san francisco pride celebrations are happening on june 24th and 25th. ( mark ) police have arrested a man they say burglarized two businesses in martinez. police responded to reports of a burglary yesterday morning at an antique store on main street near ferry street. investigators say the man was gone by they police arrived so officers viewed the surveillance footage of the burglary. police received a report of a silent alarm had been triggered at a business less than a mile away. when officers arrived, they found the man from the earlier surveillance video. police arrested stanley holton who they say was already on probation for assault with a deadly weapon. ( mark ) the search

continues this morning for a 5-year-old boy who vanished after a trip to disneyland. aramazd andressian is from south pasadena and has been missing since april 22nd. he was last seen leaving disneyland with his father. police say the man is currently in a custody battle with the boy's mother. she reported her son missing after his father did not bring him home. police say his father was then found drugged and passed out in a park near solvang. he told police that he could not remember what happened to his son. he was arrested and later released, but is still a person of interest in the case. ( james ) eighteen members of a penn state fraternity will be in court today to face charges in the hazing death of a fraternity pledge. 19-year-old tim piazza died in february. investigators say he appeared to be heavily intoxicated as he fell several times, including down a set of stairs. the hearing will determine if prosecutors have enough evidence to send the case to trial. security video from inside the frat house that night will play a big role in the hearing.

piazza's parents say their son was murdered. ( james ) several defendants face dozens of charges, including aggravated assault and involuntary manslaughter. others face charges of evidence tampering. (mark) happening today... bill cosby's defense lawyers will begin calling witnesses in the commedian's rape trial. the prosecution rested it's case on friday. and we have just learned that cosby has decided not to testify. the 79-year-old faces possible prison time if convicted of drugging and molesting andrea constand at his philadelphia home in 2004. cosby's defense team says he only gave the victim benadryl and that the sexual encounter was consensual. ( james ) a warning if you have traveled to las vegas recently... two guests at a hotel in vegas have contracted legionnaires' disease. it happened at the rio hotel. one got the disease in march while the other got it in april. the bacteria called legionella was found in the hotel's water system on friday. legionnaire's can be dangerous for the elderly and anyone with a weak immune system. ( mark ) body-cam video has been released this morning of a father accused of leaving his children inside the car to gamble at a casino. it happened in june in santa fe new mexico. 34-year-old andrew martinez was confronted by deputies in a casino parking lot. deputies were called to the casino after security noticed martinez left his 4-year-old and 2-year-old twins inside his s-u-v. martinez claimed he was getting refreshment, but deputies were not buying it.
