( terisa ) investigaotrs have released a sketch of a man who approached two young girls in millbrae. the first incident happened wednesday morning on palm avenue. a 14-year-old girl was approached by a man driving a golden brown minivan. a few hours later...

deputies say a man pulled up to a 13-year-old girl on east hillcrest blvd...this time in a silver mini cooper. in both cases the man attempted to talk to the teens...but the teens ran away. ( terisa ) in the east bay... police are looking for a man who punched another man in the face and then tried to run over another. investigators are calling it a case of road rage. it happened in berkeley on ashby avenue near college avenue. this is the man police are looking for... the victims were a couple from pleasant hill. the couple says they were driving on ashby avenue when a white mercedes began driving erratically and tried to pass on the shoulder. they say they exchanged words with the man and when traffic stopped he got out of his car and punched one of the victims. he then tried to run over the other man. ( will ) happening today... jurors will wrap-up a full week of hearing testimony in the trial of the man accused of killing kate steinle in san francisco.

the federal agent-- whose stolen gun was used in the killing -- took to the witness stand yesterday. his government issued semi automatic handgun was stolen out of his parked car a few days before the shooting. he told the jury that he was traveling in his personal car with his fiance and three children. they parked along the embarcadero in a place he considered safe because it was well -lit and patrolled by parking enforcement officers. police say they know who killed a local musician in 2015. they have identified dejour jamerson as the man who shot and killed emiliano navarez. but police won't be making an arrest. jamerson was killed in a car crash in november in placer county. oakland police worked with the f-b-i to crack this case. last month... police received evidence pointing to jamerson as the killer. u-c berkeley's student-run newspaper is apologizing for an editorial cartoon that is being called "offensive and anti- semetic." the cartoon, published in the "daily californian" depicts well- known lawyer alan dershowitz .. who is jewish. it comes after he made a speech on campus presenting what he calls the liberal case for israel". in the cartoon dershowitz is seen presenting that case.. but behind him he is shown

happening now... firefighters are trying to get a handle on a wildfire burng in southern california. a motorcycle crash sparked the wildomar wildfire in riverside county. the fire grew up to 350-acres and prompted evacuations in the area. as of this morning ... the fire is only 15-percent contained.

house republicans will vote next week on a republican bill to make it easier to cut down trees in national forests in order to reduce the risk of wildfire. the bill would loosen environmental regulations for forest- thinning projects on federal lands. the measure would waive environmental reviews for projects up to 30 thousand acres for areas in california prone to extreme wildfire risk. the bill comes as the forest serivce has spent more than two billion dollars battling forest fires across the state. ( terisa ) breaking overnight... bart is making changes. starting january first... officials will ask for proof of payment. kron 4's camila bernal joins us live from walnut creek. camila... come january, bart riders will have to have proof that they paid at all times.take vothe bart board of supervisors passed two ordinances that require this proof of purchase.

if someone is stopped without a ticket, they will get a citation. it will be a fine of $75 for adults and $55 for children with the option of community service.the board of directors said that about 75% of barts income comes from the fares but they also estimate that they are losing between 15 and 25 million dollars a year from people who ride and don't pay.camila:this will all go into effect january 1st. there will be a one month grace period but in february, if you don't have proof that you paid, you will get a citation.live in walnut creek, camila bernal kron 4 news.

( will ) bart is one step closer to running in the south bay ... as trains are being readied for the first riders next summer. five years after construction began, bart trains are being tested along the recently completed tracks from fremont, through milpitas and san jose. with the system fully electrified ... trasportation officials are reminding neighbors to heed warning signs posted along the

tracks. when it opens in june of next year, the south bay ridership is expected to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 23-thousand people each day. ( terisa ) an east bay high school is standing by its decision to reinstate a teacher ... after an investigation confirming inappropriate conduct with students. the superintendent of piedmont unified school district says the reason the teacher is keeping his job is because the conduct was not ácriminal. ( terisa ) five recent piedmont high school graduates reported the incidents which happened last

school year. the teacher was placed on administrative leave in september but has since been reinstated. a student says a man inappropriately touched himself in front of her in downtown berkeley. this is the man police are now looking for. it happened on tuesday near the corner of center street and martin luther king way... that is right near m-l-k junior civic center park. a student at berkeley city college says a man walked towards her car as she was parking. the man then exposed himself. she took this picture and quickly drove away. new video showing a bold burglary at a chinese restuarant in san francsico's misison district. this happened at wild pepper on sunday morning... you see the thieves crack the window... and then after waiting just a little bit... they go right through the front door. according to an online post -- the thieves made away with artwork from the restuarant and some ( terisa ) cal-trans is warning drivers about some major traffic changes coming

to the highway 101- willow road interchange in menlo park. it is part of a larger project to rebuild the busy interchange. the work begins tonight and ramps will be closed and reopened throughout the weekend. cal-trans wants drivers to be alert... and allow for extra time to get used to the new setup. ( terisa ) in the south bay... a bike sharing program is expanding in san jose. "ford go bike" announced yesterday that it will expand into san jose's san pedro square market. the program allows users to rent a bike at one location and return it to another. right now there are 34 rental stations in san jose. "ford go bike" says they plan to have 80 stations by the end of next year. this morning... arson investigators are working to determine what caused a massive fire at a k-f-c in san jose. it happened around 4-30 this morning at the k-f-c on cropley avenue. a kron4 viewer sent us this video through our "report it" app. you can see just how big the flames were when firefighters arrived. one witness on the scene says they saw a person throw something at the restaurant before the fire started. the cause of the fire has not been determined. no one was in the restaurant at the time and there are no injuries. ( terisa ) our top story this morning... bay area congresswoman jackie speier becomes the first member of the house of representatives to publically share her story of sexual assault.( will ) the congress woman took to twitter sharing a story about being attacked by a congressional staffer. she

posted this video online sharing her story.( terisa ) congresswoman speier who represents the peninsula... says she is sharing her story as a part of the me too campaign. it is a campaign started after hollywood director harvey weinstein was accused of years of sexual misconduct. ( terisa ) now the congresswoman is urging other members of congress to come forward and share her their stories. ( terisa ) san leandro police have arrested a teen driver accused of impersonating a police officer.

it happened early this morning when another driver heard a siren and a red light in the area of bancroft avenue near 136th avenue,. he pulled over believing it was a cop. the impersonator got out of the car and pulled a hoodie over his face. the driver then realized something was wrong and the driver was not a police officer and quickly drove away. alameda county sheriff's deputies stopped the teen cop impersonator on eastbound 5-80. the real cops put the teenager under arrest. ( will ) happening today... jurors will wrap-up a full week of hearing testimony in the trial of the man accused of killing kate steinle in san francisco. the federal agent-- whose stolen gun was used in the killing -- took to the witness stand yesterday. his government issued semi automatic handgun was stolen out of his parked car a few days before the shooting. he told the jury that he was traveling in his personal car with his fiance and three children. they parked along the embarcadero in a place he considered safe

because it was well -lit and patrolled by parking enforcement officers. (matt gonzales/defense attorney): "there's no question that he acted negligantly and he triggered a course of events that led to the death of kate steinle. i am not suggesting that he has criminal liability for that ultimate act."( will ) the ranger was never diciplined in anyway over the loss of his firearm. kate steinle's parents are suing the bureau of land management for the wrongful death of their ( terisa ) an oakland cold case has been solved. police say they know who killed a local musician in 2015. they have identified dejour jamerson as the man who shot and killed emiliano navarez. but police won't be making an arrest. jamerson was killed in a car crash in november in placer county. oakland police worked with the f-b-i to crack

this case. last month... police received evidence pointing to jamerson as the killer. ( terisa ) happening today... firefighters in the north bay are expect to have full containment on all of the fires that tore through napa and sonoma counties. the firestorm broke out almost three weeks ago. 42 people were killed in the fires and more than 7-thousand homes and businesses were destroyed. francisco the 49ers joined police unions to bring attention to gun control measures on bump stocks. that issue seemed to get a lot of attention nationally after the las vegas shooting. but then went away. what (alexandra) the proposed ban on bump stocks devices that allow semi automatic weapons to fire much like fully automatic weapons did get a lot of attention. then we didn't hear anything more but earlier this week i spoke to senator blumenthal of connecticut and asked him about that he thinks there still is bipartisan support for banning bump stocks on a federal level he also told me he expects the senate judiciary committee will hold hearings on the topic. this week he and other senators including cortez masto of nevada introduced another bill that would expand background checks for guns to include private sales and gun shows. but they say realistically new

federal gun control laws could take years.(will) we know the budget and tax reform are also a big focus on the hill this week.. where do things stand with that?(alexandra)yesterday the house voted to approved the budget proposal that the senate approved last week and that was a really important vote for republicans because it paves the for republicans to attempt to pass tax reform with only a simple majority - which means only republican support but it wont be an easy process because the budget passed very narrowly in both the house and the senate. moderate republicans don't like the plan because where it

stands now it would eliminate things like state and local tax deductions which means people in high tax states - like california - could pay more in taxes.and fiscal conservativesv don't like the plan because it adds a lot of money to the federal deficit so it could face some challenges. ... and their communication system failed in a storm. from that point on the women made a distress call every day. the women survived because they had water purifiers and a years worth of food -- mainly rice, pasta and oatmeal. (will) breaking news this morning... arson investigators are working to determine what caused a massive fire at a k-f-c in san jose. it happened around 4-30 this morning at the k-f-c

on cropley avenue. a kron4 viewer sent us this video through our "report it" app. you can see just how big the flames were when firefighters arrived. one witness on the scene says they saw a person on a bicycle and they trew something at the restaurant. the cause of the fire has not been determined. ( terisa ) breaking overnight... bart is making changes for riders. starting january first... officials will ask for proof of payment. kron 4's camila bernal is in walnut creek and tells us what passengers can expect. come january, bart riders will have to have proof that they paid at all times.take vothe bart board of supervisors passed two ordinances that require this proof of purchase. if someone is stopped without a ticket, they will get a citation. it will be a fine of $75 for adults and $55 for

( terisa ) in the south bay... a bike sharing program is expanding in san jose. "ford go bike" announced yesterday that it will expand into san jose's san pedro square market. the program allows users to rent a bike at one location and return it to another. right now there are 34 rental stations in san

motorcycle crash sparked the wildomar wildfire in riverside county. the fire grew up to 700-acres and prompted evacuations in the area. as of this morning ... the percent contained. house republicans will vote next week on a republican bill to make it easier to cut down trees in national forests in order to reduce the risk of wildfire. the bill would loosen environmental regulations for forest- thinning projects on federal lands. the measure would waive environmental reviews for projects up to 30 thousand acres for areas in california prone to extreme wildfire risk. the bill comes as the forest serivce has spent more than two billion dollars battling forest fires across the state. ( terisa ) president trump is one step closer to getting his wall along the u-s... mexico border. eight prototypes will now be tested. the completed prototypes were unveiled yesterday. the prototype walls stand

between eighteen and thirty feet high. officials will spend three months testing each one. congress has not authorized any new money to build president trump's border wall. the prototypes were paid for by a twenty million dollar allocation congress authorized the department of homeland security. ( terisa ) uber is fending off accusations of an unfair work environment. three female engineers are suing the san francisco based company claiming that uber is in violation of the equal pay act. they say that women and people of color were paid less than their white or asian male colleagues. uber has not commented on the lawsuit. (will) more fallout following the sexual assault allegations against hollywood director harvey weinstein. the academy of motion pictures... which hands out the oscars each year... is establishing a new code of conduct for its members. right now it is still not clear what that code of

conduct will include. the academy dropped weinstein after more than 50 women have come forward accusing him of sexual harassment or assault.
