spencer who does this boat belong to, and why is it still there? we don't have the name of the man who apparently lives on the yacht, but some swimmers say his boat is constantly in their way.the national parks service says so far...nothing has gotten him to leave. by now the anchor of this boat has probably gotten áreally comfortable at the bottom of aquatic park cove.lynn cullivan ÷ sf maritime"it's been out here over a hundred days and the reason that's unusual is because normally a permit is only for five days." but in this case, the man who owns the boat never had a permit at all.even if he did, s-f maritime spokesman lynn cullivan says any given boat is only allowed to be moored in the area for 30 days out of a given year.that means this boat is more than two months past its welcome."the cove is basically a kind of primitive camp in terms of a mooring; it doesn't have a restroom, it doesn't have pump facilities so most people will only stay in here for a few days and then they would move on."so what áis the harm of a boat floating there for so long? just about any swimmer from the south end rowing club could tell you."he says that

a 50 year old mom with her seven year son died in kirkwood ski resort.(vicki) the alpine county sheriff's office says the two were first reported missing last night around 6-45. they were later found buried beneath snow.the mom and son were last seen on a lift chair around 4- pm. and at approximately 9...a neighbor of theirs noticed ski gloves on the snow alongside their condo.(steve) olga perkovic of san francisco... and her son aaron were found unconscious beneath three feet of snow. they were immediately rescued and air-flighted to the hospital. but neither survived. deputies determined the two had returned to their condo by skiing through a wooded area... that's when the snow slid from the roof of the condo and buried them. they were the third and fourth to die at california resorts since a major snowstorm late last week. (vicki) three people are injured after a stabbing on a greyhound bus.(steve) and the bus...well, it was headed for oakland. the stabbing happened this afternoon near visalia. a man on the bus says the

suspect stabbed a woman who was holding her child. police say the suspect was restrained by the bus driver and another passenger. there is not yet word on how severe injuries were. the suspect was arrested. (sot) yeager says his ban.... would not impact county sponsored gun buyback programs. police and district officials are taking extra steps to keep kids safe at a san francisco elementary school. this comes after a person who made threats against rooftop elementary school... was released from jail yesterday. police

are not identifying the suspect who made the threats. they do say he was affiliated with the school... but not an employee. access points to the school are being watched closely by police officers. district officials are also offering extra emotional support to students and staff. (steve) and a monterey county middle school went on lockdown today...after a student was stabbed in the chest. the 12-year-old student was flown to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. police said the accused attacker is also 12. it's unclear what led up to the incident, but police said it happened before class. the suspect was taken into custody and is now facing attempted murder charges. no other injuries were reported. (vicki) controversy over a statue at san francisco state university has been resolved. san francisco arts commissioners have voted to remove the "pioneer monument" that shows a native american man at the feet of a conquering spanish cowboy and catholic missionary. the decision was unanimous and is the final word on the removal

of "early days." the statue was built in 18- 94...and part of it depicts early settlers dominating over a native american. advocates for its removal clapped and cheered after the vote. new ahead at 8 a couple shocked after finding their dog died from suffocation... the common object they are now warning others about. and next. california fighting back against one judge's ruling to give sex offenders early parole. appeal a judge's ruling that california must consider earlier parole for potentially thousands of sex offenders. including those convicted of raping an unconscious person. brown will fight the order made final by a sacramento judge today.. the order upholds last month's tentative ruling that prison officials must rewrite part of proposition 57. the 20-16 ballot measure allows earlier

parole for most prison inmates... but brown promised voters sex offenders would be excluded. the state will challenge that judge's finding that the exclusion can only apply to those serving time for a violent sex offense. (steve) the senate is set to take up a bill that would roll back some of the banking regulations put in place by the obama administration. supporters say this will help small, community banks. critics worry it could lead to the same bad behavior that led to the financial crisis. our washington correspondent jessica smith has both sides of the debate. a decade after the financial crisis -- the senate is considering weakening the banking rules meant to keep it from happening again. sen. mike crapo (r-id): the bill is the result of a thoughtful, deliberative process over several years//republicans and moderate democratic senators designed the bill, which would loosen some of the dodd-frank regulations for small and mid- size banks. about two dozen banks would no longer face a stricter level of federal
