(jr) a very nice weekend is upon us.. a lot of people were out at the beaches today ... and of course, one of the most popular spots is stinson beach in marin county.. but that beach is still recovering from that powerful storm two- weeks ago.. one that flooded the beach parking lot. kron 4's charles clifford was at stinson beach friday and has more on where you can now park.

well, the weather was fantastic here in west marin on friday and it will probably be this weekend as well, that means thousand of people will flock here to the beach. but, things could get more crowded than usual because the main parking lot is still not fully repaired. so far, roughly half of the stinson beach parking lot is open. there was a good amount of work put into clearning the mud and debris last week, but that effort has slowed down. the central and north end of the parking lot remain closed. the beach access on the north end is completely destroyed and the national park service, which manages stinson beach hasn't given a timetable for the repairs. now, with warm weather on tap for this weekend, it could get very busy here at stinson as people head to the beach. that problem will be made worse by the lack of parking spots.
