don't know all the neighbors yet.">cops found martinez hiding in a nearby convert.. a woman wanted for two home invasion robberies in the north bay, is now behind bars. 20-year-old amber hembree ... also known as "skittles"... was arrested in virgina on monday. police say, they found her hiding in an attic of a home, near richmond, virginia -- and arrested her. hembree is one of five suspects, in one of five suspects, in two separate home invasion robberies in santa rosa, that left one man dead and another injured hembree is expected to be extradited back to sonoma county soon. lawrence karnow: it was another hot day inland with highs soaring into the mid 90s. but fog moved in along the coast to cool temperatures there in the 50s and 60s.

(j.r.) they still can't believe it. one of her former coworkers broke down crying when we spoke to him this evening.she's got a three year old you know...little girl...always happening smiling great person...we're trying to finish our job but we're heavy hearted. we lost one of our own. a good one. this is a picture of lilianna preciado. the mayor of san francisco issued a statement saying she was a valued employee. her coworkers say she had been with the city for at least six years and worked her way up to being a plumber. in fact she was one of the few female plumbers in the

city. as to how this all happened...a witness described what she saw as the tow truck driver was trying to get the car on the bed of his truck. finally he got the cables pulled down and then he was attaching it to my car, then it slid backwards and the two guys jumped out of that hole so fast but the woman did not and i'm just so sorry to hear that the woman is gone. she wasn't very tall so i don't remember if her head even came out of the hole.this is what the scene looked like today. this accident happened just after 2 in the afternoon. police say the car came loose and rolled off of the tow truck. two of the workers were able to get out of the way but preciado could not. her coworkers say she was alive when she was taken to the hospital. she was actually talking at that point but died during an emergency surgery. surgery.emergency during an point but died talking at that was actually hospital. she taken to the when she was she was alive coworkers say not. her preciado could way but get out of the were able to the workers truck. two of of the tow and rolled off car came loose

(ken) a san francisco police officer is in the hospital tonight with life threatening injuries... following a motorcyle crash in the city's potrero hill neighborhood. it happened this morning near mariposa street and pennsylvania avenue. the motorcycle collided with a vehicle. the officer's name has not yet been released . the driver invovled in the collision remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. (pam) in the east bay, police are on the lookout for four suspects who broke into a gas station in alameda ... the entire incident caught on camera. (ken) it happened early last thursday morning. kron 4's charles clifford has the latest details well, fortunatly no one was injured in this case and the thieves can be seen pretty cleary on the video. according to the alameda police department, just before 3am on thursday june 7th four suspects, three males and one female, approached the valero gas station along park street in alameda. the store was closed at the time. the suspets then smashed a window near the front of the building

and at least three of them entered the store.they can then be seen running around the store and quickly grabbing as much as they can carry.one supsects checks the cash register, which appears to be empty and the female begins stuffing items into a backpack. in all, the three culprits were inside the store for less than a minute. they exited the building and can be seen fleeing into the night. on wednesday afternoon, the owners of the gas station were unavailable for comment. customers told us they were suprised by the break in but that it wouldn't deter them from coming here.sotno. . not really.so far police have not identified these supsects and it's unclear exactly what was taken from the store. anyone with information is asked to contact the alameda police department. in alameda, charles clifford kron 4 newws. (pam) affordable housing is a big challenge in the bay area - we know that .. but now a new report says it is an problem for people all across the nation. the report says, minimum wage earners can no longer afford rent on a two bedroom apartment anywhere in the u.s.. catherine heenan has the disheartening new data. kaching!in arkansas, for example, you only need to earn a little over 13 dollars for a typical two bedroom apartment. but that is still almost double the arkansas minimum wage of eight and a half dollars.in california, the gap is even greater.you can afford a typical two bedroom apartment is you make just under 33 dollars an hourthat is three times the state minimum wage of eleven dollars, anyone making that amount would have to work triple shifts of 119 hours a week for a two bedroom apartment.even a
