(grant) police say the two women turned themselves in after seeing themselves in cell phone video on local news broadcasts. natalie natalie alcantar, a 21-year old san francisco resident was arrested for vandalism... and pacifica resident hannah baughmam - also 21 - has been booked for vandalism áand battery. police say one woman - believed to be baughman based on the booking information - was inside the shalimar restaurant on polk streek near pine. they say she and an employee got into an argument about paying for

food - and she was eventually denied service because she seemed intoxicated. that's when she allegedly started knocking over items, like the cash register, and punched a man who was working there - in the face. video also shows a glass sugar jar being thrown.== police say the other woman grabbed a chair outside the restaurant... then used it to shatter the front door. both suspects then both suspects then took off. the man who was punched is okay. police have not released mug shots but are asking anyone with any other informaton or video to contact them. the city of oakland has filed a lawsuit against the raiders for the teams' decision to move to las vegas. the suit seeks to recover damages ... including lost money which oakland taxpayers have invested in the n-f-l team.(ken) many fans are in support of the lawsuit -- and are, of course, very upset about the move.kron4's

michelle kingston kron 4 news (ken) a terrorism investigation is now open as police search for a gunman behind an attack in the french city of strasbourg. at least three people are dead. and six others have serious injuries. officials say a gunman got inside the city's christmas market and inside a security zone to stage the attack. this happened around eight p-m tuesday night in france. police say they do know who the gunman is... and that he was on law enforcement's radar. demonstrators rallied inside p-g-and-e headquarters ... to protest the company's role in the 'camp fire'. in the meantime, an attorney who is representing those who survived that blaze says, he now knows how the utility's equipment caused that blaze. kron 4's dan kerman has more. more than 2 dozen demonstrators marched to the lobby of pacific gas and electric's

(pam) county- run health care facilities in santa clara ... have long struggled with a lack of beds and services. but now... relief is on the way. the county is buying three private hospitals ... o'connor hospital ... saint louise in gilroy... and de paul health center in morgan hill. acquiring the three facilities will add more than 4-hundred beds... doubling capacity county wide. and it means south county residents, fearful of losing their local hospitals, will instead, see expanded

services. (ken) the brakes have been put on a plan to add a toll on treasure island.. this after members of the outgoing san francisco board of supervisors delayed their vote today... leaving the issue on the table for the incoming board. kron four's philippe djegal reports from city hall... where people who live on the island are happy the toll has not been implemented.. (philippe) unlike any other neighborhood in san francisco... resients and business owners, in addition to visitors, may soon have to pay up to seven dollars round- trip, during peak hours, to enter and leave the island.no name/resident- "it's very inhumane to me and its not fair at all."christoph oppermanm/resident- "what neighborhood in san francisco is going to be next? are we going to put a fence around the presidio? dig a ditch around pacific heights? for us to be asked a residents living on an island in san francisco in san francisco's zip code to pay a toll to drive to and from our homes inward in the city seems outrageous." on tuesday... the san

francisco transportation authority governing board delayed its vote on a new toll policy, and transit pass and affordability program.... seeking more time to flush out the details. business owners and residents fear the toll will have a negative economic impact and drive residents away.carla biondi/resident- 'it's just ludacris, really."jim mirowski/business owner- "i already have people in my employ that have said if there's a toll, they're not going to work for me. i have customers who say i'm not going to come up there and do some wine tasting if i have to pay seven dollars to get on the island." the plan includes an up to 300-dollar stipend per island household... which would eventually pay for up to o round-trips 21-days a week.eric young/transportation authority- "that stipend can be directed towards toll costs, or it could be directed to other expenses people have." the transportation authority says revenue from the tolls will pay for new ferry services on the island and additional bus services. there are currently 625 households on the island. within the next 15 to 20 years... that number is expected to increase to 8- thousand with additional housing coming to the area.

jury is suggesting a man who killed a counter-protester during a white supremacist rally in charlottesville, virginia spend his life in prison.(pam) james fields was 'convicted' last week by the same jury. now the

jury is recommending life in prison... and a 100 -thousand dollar fine for the murder of heather heyer.... that is the maximum penalty for the charge. the jury also issued sentences of 70 -years for each of the five- counts of aggravated malicious wounding.... and 20 -years each for three- counts of malicious wounding. a judge will decide fields' exact punishment .... and whether the sentences will run consecutively or concurrently. that hearing will take place march 29th - 20-19. (ken) the former president of a texas fraternity will not spend a single day in prison. despite being charged with rape. jacob anderson was sentenced yesterday. he struck a plea deal that allowed him to plead no contest to a lesser charge. anderson will now have to complete three years of deferred probation and pay a 400-dollar fine. if he follows the deal... the charge will be taken off his record and he will not have to register as a sex offender. a woman accused the former baylor university student of

raping her back in 2015. (ken) a california man is in jail, accused of killing a dog because of the animal urinated. modesto ramos was booked for animal cruelty causing death. police say the 23-year-old fatally shot his neighbor's dog.....because he was upset the dog urinated on his yard and vehicle. when the dog's owner realized the dog was missing she called the police. ramos admitted what he did....and said he buried the dog afterward. he is also charged with possession of banned assault weapons and negligent discharge of a firearm. (pam) a new york judge is ordering the release of a mother... jailed.. after she was violently separated from her toddler by police. the videotaped encounter happened at a new york city social services office. the judge set jazmine headley free ... hours after the brooklyn district attorney announced he was dropping all charges against her. headley was arrested.. after a dispute with a guard in a crowded waiting room .. because she sat on the floor while waiting .. video shows officers yanking her 18-

month old son from her arms. district attorney eric gonzalez says, he was 'horrified by the violence" in the video. colorado are targeting a new item on homeowners' porches... their doorbell cameras. this thief was caught on camera removing a 'ring' doorbell. and they reportedly hit several homes in the same neighborhood.

the popular devices seem to be a new target for thieves. denver police report.. 20 stolen since the beginning of the year. (ken) an different kind of traffic congestion for people trying to get to work in phoenix. a pack of stray dogs pranced across a busy freeway yesterday. the pack weaving in and out of rush our traffic on interstate 17 providing a heart stopping sight to those on the roads. witnesses say a state trooper and tow truck driver forced the pups off the freeway then they were collected one by one. four of the six dogs were taken away by animal control. two got away. next at 8 a good samaritan stops to help people in an accident.... but ends up being questioned by police. coming up in sports, before the raiders can leave for their multi-billion dollar place in las vegas, there's some issues they need to take care of in oakland. more on the lawsuit filed by the city against the franchise.

(pam) punished for a good deed. that is what one man says happened... when he stopped to help, after a crash that ended up killing a 21-year-old man... and shutting down a highway in washington, d-c.(ken) that good samaritan says his decision to help cost him: police impounded his car. brad bell has his story. when a car in front of him went out of control, flipping into a ravine on the suitland parkway , benjamin davis could've driven by.but he says

he knew people needed help. he stopped. it was bad.benjamin davis iii/ good samaritan"the guy he's hanging out of the passenger side door. so i pulled him out."davis managed to get the survivor out of the car, but the second person in the car, 21-year-old kyree payne of northeast d.c., died. davis, who lives in baltimore and was on his way to work in d.c., told police everything he witnessed and at first was allowed to leave.but when he was just a block away, he was pulled over by a d.c. police officer and that's when his nightmare began.benjamin davis iii/ good samaritan"he said, 'you're being detained because you were a witness to a vehicle where someone died, an accident where someone died.'" davis says he was made to wait for about two hours and was harshly questioned, before he claims a police supervisor told him because he witnessed a fatal crash, his car was being impounded.benjamin davis iii/ good samaritan"i said what are you towing my vehicle for? he said because you're parked in an area where you're not supposed to parked at, i said excuse me sir, your officer just pulled me over here, what are you talking about? i just left the scene where i just saved somebody's

life."davis says he was not involved in the crash.since his driver's license is active and his car is registered and insured, police gave him no citations.benjamin davis iii/ good samaritan"i don't know what those guys.... what they were into, but i got treated like a suspect and my car was stolen by the metro department police in d.c." (ken) no one likes pot holes. one creative woman in pennsylvania decided to harness the holiday spirit to draw attention to a pot hole in her neighborhood. marietta spak filled a pot hole with an artificial cristmas tree, covered in ornaments and all. it was her attempt to keep drivers from hitting the hole and bring attention to what she believes is a safety issue. spak's neighbors eventually joined in.

installing a santa in the hole next to the tree. city officials assure people in the area that the hole will be fixed soon --- but the decorations have to be removed first. (pam) hundreds of articles of clothing are tied to trees throughout milwaukee's city parks. scarves, mittens, gloves, and hats look almost like ornaments on christmas trees. but these are not for decoration -- they will help keep needy men, women, and children warm throughout the cold wisconsin winter. the organizer of "operation scarf" says, the group distributed 12-hundred pieces of clothing this year.... adding that it's just a small way for them to help out. building 23 .... as soon as authorities got word, the entire campus was on lockdown. pkgleaving no stone unturned ... the bomb squad, bomb sniffing dogs, and other agencies zoned in on facebook's menlo park campus tuesday night.the call came from nypd crime stoppers ... alerting officials, that they received an anonymous tip regarding a bomb threat. facebook's campus was evacuated...just before 5-30pm menlo park police issued an alert ... urging residents to avoid the 200 block of jefferson drive .... near constitution drive.officials shut down a number of streets ... as the bomb squad investigated ...this all comes 5 days after cnn's new york offices and studios were evacuated after a similar threat.that was also phoned in. there were allegedly as many as 5 bombs inside the building.however the bomb squad turned up nothing.standup at this hour the evacuation has been lifted.no device or suspicious package was found reporting live from menlo park ... ar ... kron 4 news.
