( will ) breaking news we are following this morning... crews are on the scene of a deadly apartment fire in san jose. this is on blossom hill road. the fire broke out around 4:00 this morning. one man has died. 15 other people have been displaced. we have a crew on the way to the scene. we will get the latest from them as soon as they get there. ( darya ) happening today ... the san francisco polce officer arrested in connection to a bank robbery ... is due in court. the robbery happened back on november 29-th ... at the "east west bank" in the city's sunset district. s-f-p-d officer rain daugherty was caught on surveillance camera passing a note to a teller demanding money. police say he took more than 9-thousand-dollars.

( darya ) police in mountian view have arested a man for having a child pornography collection. police say 31-year-old marco alfaro was connected to a drop box that had more than 3-

hundred images and videos of children as young as six- months old. when police searched alfaro's home they found additional child porn images. he was booked into the santa clara county jail. (2-shot)( darya )a bay area man and woman are now charged in a murder for hire plot.( will ) prosecutors say both are involved in the shooting death of a popular bay area chef. kron 4's charles clifford has the details. well, back on october 7th. fremont resident dominic sarkar wafound murder in his home. the suspect in the killing had apparently entered the house, shot sarkar, and then left quickly. the fremont police department launched an investigation and they have now arrested two people they say were invovled in a murder for hire plot. the alameda county district attorney has charged 50 year-old maria moore of sunnyvale and 46-year old marvel salvant of citrus heights with murder in connection to the killing of fremont resident dominic sarkar. the fremont police department believes moore and salvant conspired to kill sarkar in order to collect $800,000 in life insurance payouts.following sarkar's

murder, fremont police would eventually discover that moore and sarkar were engaged in a sexual relationship and that in 2016 and 2017, sarkar changed life insurance policies on himself to list moore as the beneficiary. investigators also learned that moore and salvant, who has a criminal history, had been communicating through calls, texts, and private messages in the weeks prior to the murder. according to police, moore had payed salvant a 500 dollar advance to murder sarkar.following her lover's death, moore attempted to file a claim for the insurance money and police believe she had promised salvant a share of the payout. although, police do not have any direct proof that salvant murdered dominic sarkar they believe the overwhelming evidence they do have was enough to press charges.sotin a lot of cases your able to get a finger print or dna or a witnesses but in this case it was just the enormity of the evidence where we could move it to the place where we could charge it.finally, investigators say they may still need to do some follow up work on the case but at this pointthe do not beleive anyone else was involved in the murder for hire plot.in fremont, charles clifford, kron 4 news. bay is desperately looking for information after their home was burglarized and ransacked. and the thieves got away with a couple of three week old puppies. the family is now offering a cash reward to get the puppies back. this happened in san jose. there were originally 7 puppies but now there are ly 5.now there are only 5. karen ramirez says karen ramirez says this is her dog's first litter of puppies and they've noticed a change in the dog's behavior since the puppies were taken.

surveillance video shows the child crying. when the boy woke up he started to panic and cry. this is surveillance video from the bus this child rides daily... to an after-care program called chambliss. in the video, you can see children getting off of the bus... all except him. the boy's mother is distraught. ( darya ) after more than 10- minutes, the child figures out how to open the doors... gets off the bus.... and wanders through the parking lot just before finally being helped by a stranger. the chambliss employee is on probation.... and the bus probation.... employee is on probation.... and the bus driver has been suspended. the after-care center also said, its bus monitors will receive

mattis was opposed to that decision, and has reportedlyhad failing relations with trump in recent months. mattis also wrote that the u-s cannot protect its interests without respecting allies and maintaining strong alliances. he plans to step down in febuary.president trump has not yet named someone to replace ( will )a mother .. finally reunited with her dying two- year- old son at oakland children's hospital. she was able to hold her child for the first time ... since being granted permission to travel to the u.s., to be with him before he is taken off of life support. kron 4's terisa estacio has details on the emotional reunion. it has been months, since shaima (shayma) swileh has held or been in the same room with her gravely ill boy. kron four news was sent this very touching and tender photo of shaima swileh gently holding her son's hand in his hospital bed at ucsf benioff children's hospital in oakland. abdullah hassan is only two years old, but he is dying.

he was diagnosed with a rare brain condition in august. his family says he is currently on life support. attorney's for the family have shared that the young boy's health is worsening and that he does not have long to live. shaima only arrived late wednesday night at sfo from cairo. it has been a brutal and stressful fight to get her a visa. abudullah and his father ali are us citizens, shaima is not. she was blocked by the trump administrations travel ban to return to the us to see her son after leaving the us back in 2017 with abdullah to apply for a visa. late tuesday, the state department granted a waiver for shaima to return to be with her son. at the airport wednesday... a brief comment from the family thanking supporters during this painful time. abdullah hassan the family says now they are spending as much time as possible with their son... and making sure he is comfortable. they said that now that they are together as a family, the can mourn with dignity

( darya ) the lawyer for the man charged with stabbing and killing 18-year-old nia wilson -- says her client is not mentally fit to stand trial. 28-year-old john lee cowell is accused of killing wilson and injuring her 26-year-old sister back in july at the macarthur bart station. cowell's lawyer told a judge yesterday that he suffers from severe delusions and paranoia. she says he was released from a maximum security facility for mentally ill convicts less than three months before the attack.

cowell did not enter a plea but was ordered to return to court in one week. he is eligible for the death penalty if convicted. ( darya )on the peninsula... daly city police need your help identifying these people. on sunday, a woman reported that someone stole her wallet ... at the target store in the serramonte shopping center. police say, the two you see here, used the credit cards from the woman's stolen wallet. if you recognize them... police would like to hear from you. ( will ) in the east bay... police are looking for two people who they say, robbed the treasure island jewelry store.. at the hilltop mall. according to richmond police, the men asked the clerk to see some jewelry.. then took the items and ran out without paying. police say they stole three gold chains and a gold cross with two carats worth of diamonds. (2-shot)( darya )in the east bay... parking problems rise at the walnut creek bart station.( will ) construction is underway on a new parking garage for bart's new transit village development. but as kron four's philippe djegal reports... just days after permits went on sale to park in the new garage -- they sold out. (philippe) as the year comes to a close... construction crews are getting closer to finishing the new south garage at the walnut creek bart station. the old south parking lot was shutdown to make way for the project... and, when it's all said and done -- the new garage will feature at least 900 parking stalls. that's about 100 spaces more than are available at the station now. gwen johnson/parker- "this is a very busy station, and so this will probably just alleviate a little bit of the pressure but it wont solve the problem." problem is -- the new privately-owned and operated garage requires a

monthly parking permit that costs 120-dollars a month, if you want to use the garage before 10 o'clock in the morning. after that hour -- a limited amount of daily passes would be available. the permits went on sale december third -- first made available to people who were already on the waitlist for the existing garage owned by bart, then to the public. the passes sold out in three days.greg weiss/parker- "i'm very stressed out about the whole thing." greg weiss has been parking at this station for nearly 20-years... and, couldn't secure a spot before all of the permits were taken.greg weiss/parker- "i'm on a waiting list. a new fundraiser for the president's border wall has raised nearly 11-million dollars as of this morning. air force veteran brian kolfage launched the 'go fund me' page to help pay for the construction of the u-s - mexico border wall. the fundraising goal is one- billion. in a statement on the page ... kolfage says, the wall could be built if everyone who voted for president trump ... pledged 80- dollars each.

the beginning of february. but yesterday president trump said he would not support that bill because it did not include funding for the president's border wall. last night... the house of representatives passed another spending bill that did include $5 billion dollars for the wall... but that bill is not likely to pass in the senate. kristen holmes is live in washington d-c with the latest. kristen. a government shutdown ahead of the holidays is looking more and more likely -- as president trump decided not to sign a republican deal to keep the government open unless he gets money for a border wall. kristelm
