willie brown .... about congreto power. san francisco congresswoman nancy pelosi reclaims her seat in the house..former san francisco mayor willie brown says with the number of women now serving in congress, pelosi is the ideal leader.. sot: 75 of the 100 women that are now part of the 535 i.e. the house and senate have came from what nancy has been attempting to do. brown calls those women disciples of pelosi..he says the speaker will be embraced by a democratic majority in the house that is more diverse than ever..sot: she is perfect for the role that she will now have to play..incidentally, bay area women are leading the way in representing california in congress..pelosi is joined by u.s. senators dianne feinstein and kamala harris..

remain off the job or are working without pay. kron 4's charles clifford talked with a bay area family ... that is struggling to make ends meet during this shutdown. kaitlynn wall's husband, parker , works in law enforcement for the coast guard. his job is considered essential so when the government shutdown last month, he had to stay on duty. . . without being paid. kaitie says they have now had to take a hard look at their financies.sotthe unknown is difficult. we are trying to budget. figure out how to spend our money.she says the shutdown is also taking an emotional toll.sotit's stressfull. his job is already stressfull enough so. so wondering how he's doing, if he's safe. and the added stress of financial burdens just makes the situation worse. at this point, they don't know when parker will get his next paycheck or if he will recieve back pay for working during the shutdown.wall says there
