( james ) happening now ... actor kevin spacey is being arraigned in a massacchhusearges that he grope stems from the incident in look of the accused actor in the courtroom. reports say the actor wishes to enter a plea of not guilty. conditions yesterday in the east bay. wrecked cars could be seen along powell road in emeryville. all victims of the slick conditions on the freeways.chp officers say people need to give themselves enough time to get where they're going ... and to slow down on the wet roads. ( james ) with conditions like this expected to continue for the next couple of days ... chp says they're going to continue to be proactive on the roads to get people to slow down. ( darya ) another big story we are following this morning... we have new details about what led up to a deadly officer involved shooting in santa clara. officers fatally shot a man at a gas station on lafayette street early saturday morning. police say says the 55- year-old gunman walked up to the gas station--armed with at least a long gun and a handgun---and began firing at passing cars and people pumping gas. police rushed to the scene and were able to stop the gunman before anyone got hurt.

in front of them and reacted to this threat..this was truly a lone gunman very much intent on causing death and destruction.. >( darya ) the investigation revealed the shooter was an employee at the gas station. polie say he tried set the station on fire before setting off on his shooting spree. ( darya ) happening now... police in vallejo are investigating a police shooting. it happened last night on nebraska street. police responded to reports of a man who was trespassing. when police tried to detain the man... he pulled out a knife. he led police on a brief foot chase before threatening the officers with his knife. that is when officer opened fire. the man is in the hosptal this mornign with serious injuries. the wall ... and its 5 billion dollar pricetag. president trump says he might declare a national emergency to secure military funding for the border wall.that idea has already drawn criticism from democrats. president trump says he expects "very serious talks" on the issue over the next few days. ( james ) muir woods will close today because of the government shutdown. like other parks ... it is also seeing problems with overflowing trash cans ... and public toilets. it was one of several sites within the golden gate national recreation area which stayed open when the shutdown began. if you had parking or shuttle reservations to the park ... that money will be automatically refunded. ( darya ) happening today... expect to see a lot of traffic around levi's stadium. the college football national championship will be played tonight in santa clara between alabama and clemson. this is video of the two teams arriving in the bay area on friday. kick off for tonight's game is set for 5:00 at levi's stadium. repair plans have been approved to fix the two cracks at the salesforce transit center. as kron 4's dan kerman reports --- it is still unclear how soon buses will start rolling through the transit center. progress is being made towards the eventual repair and reopening of the salesforce transit center, which was shutdown a month after it's opening last august when two cracks were found in steel

and run happened in the 1- thousand block of east 5th street. she was taken to the hospital with life- threatening injuries. ( james ) and in the east bay ... police arrested the suspect of accused of assaulting a female jogger. the suspect is identified as 19-year-old alma cadawalader. the victim says she was approached by cadawalader last week at the chabot regional park. the victim also reported to police that she had to defend herself against a dog attack .. by using pepper spray ... and that she was bitten on the arm by the attacker. the defense attorney for the suspect says the victim was never attacked by dogs ... and that the pepper spray was unwarranted.
