gives you a lot of confidence and i feel good."novato's gerod goff and san mateo's tom brady will battle it out in superbowl 53. look it's the closest the bay area's gonna get so you may as well pick one of them.you'll have root for the team you hate the least the rams or the patriots. tommy's been battling the haters all season.. saying "you're too old"... and you've already won too much.. but the 5 time superbowl champ polished off the hottest new qb in the nfl patrick mahomes.. with a roar!!! you could see from his breath how cold it was in kansas city (19 degrees). faced with a 24-point, fourth- quarter onslaught led by the chiefs.. the patriots found a way to survive and won 37 to 31 in overtime (first time in history the afc and nfc championships have gone to overtime.). and so tommy goes to his 9th superbowl and a rematch of his first time when, deja-vu: the patriots beat the rams. maybe gerod goff's parents let him stay up
late that sunday night.. he was 8.. probably wearing his joe montana jersey cuz he was a huge 9ers fan... but now he's all growed up: and the 24 year old cal and marin catholic alum better bring his a game cuz that is not what he brought to the superdome.. maybe because he couldn't hear himself think... it was so loud the rams actually taped over the earholes in their helmets so they could focus. but goff played a gutsy game and helped his team come back and beat the saints 26 to 23. but more than talking about what the rams did right... everybody's talking about what the refs did wrong.. .that really did-in the saints.. it was a critical moment for new orleans.. the score tied at 20 and a saints receiver ran a wheel route (my favorite) and was about to catch the ball when he was hit prematurely and head-on... everybody knew it.. everybody saw it.. everybody but the refs.. who didn't throw the flag. it was a mistake the saints could not overcome.. but at least the
nfl called right away to apologize so we're good right? (sot) sean payton: it is frustrating. i just got off the phone with the league office. they blew the call. we had a lot of opportunities but that call puts it first and 10... we only need three plays. it's a game changing callyou know what losing like that is like? like this!this german player beat his racket to a pulp because he couldn't be his opponantin the australian open. of course it serena did this.. she woulda be tossed out for not being lady like. but the ref.. the same ref that penalized her at the u-s open.. gave this guy a warning.. cuz you know.. he was just so frustrated. warriors play what's left of the lakers.. lebron, lonzo and rondo are out hurt..boogie will be there starting his second game. i'll stop counting after tonight. he looked good in this first game with k-d and the sunshine
(james) a trilogy nearly 20 years in the making led the weekend box office. david daniel rounds out the top five movies. "aquaman" is still doing swimmingly: 10-point-three million dollars put the marine mega-smash past the 300- million mark in domestic box office.(nat) "i give you untitled number zero."after one weekend on top, "the upside" fell to second place with 15-point-seven million dollars.(nat)m-night shyamalan's "glass" opened with 40-point-six million dollars -- slightly less than expected, but easily enough to debut number one. in

( james )( james ) a soda shop in south florida is adding something extra to its milkshakes and sundaes -- c-b- d oil. that's a compound found in marijuana. employees at "delray shores pharmacy and soda fountain" say it won't get you high -- but many believe it is therapeutic. they'll add it to milkshakes, ice cream sundaes and also brownies. a pharmacist says c-b-d oil can help people suffering from things such as insomnia, chronic inflammation, and anxiety.
