p-g-&e returns to bankruptcy court. this after a federal judge slammed the utility for not doing enough to prevent its equipment from causing wildfires. the judge also found pg&e violated its probation in the criminal case stemming from the 20-10 san bruno gas pipeline explosion. the judge is proposing having the utlity reinspect its entire electrical grid and remove or trim all trees that could fall onto its power lines in high-wind conditions ... before the end of june. ( robin ) pg&e will have to submit a wildfire mitigation plan to the california public utilities commission on february 6th. the judge will review that and then make

a final decision on what he wants pg&e to do. ( robin ) new this morning... investigators say a woman who gave out more than 700-thousand prescriptions at three bay area walgreens stores... was never licensed as a pharmacist. and this went on for more than 10 years. according to the l-a times... investigators say kim le also gave vaccinations... ordered medications and supervised pharmacy technicians from 2006 to 2017. state inspectors say they found out about le two years ago while they were visitng a wlagreens in fremont. investigators say le was using pharmacist license numbers that belonged to other people with the same name. she also worked at stores in milpitas and san jose. now california's board of pharmacy will decide if those stores will get to keep their licenses. in the east bay... police say an attempted kidnapping took place on a popular walking path. the man

arrested is accused of trying to hurt eight- and nine- year old girls. it happened in el cerrito ... near a path close to manila avenue. police saying 42 year old freddy penate-melara from richmond is charged with attempted sexual assault... after he tried to grab two girls on the path as they were just feet away from one the girl's father. the man accused of the assault... is now behind bars being held on 2- point-5million dollars bail. toro meat market on monday morning. they say.. the 26-year-old grabbed her wallet and pushed her to the ground. the victim was injured and needed to go to the hospital. police were able to find tua because he dropped his cellphone during the struggle. police arrested tua on tuesday at his brother's house. ( robin ) it's been years in the making... but we now have new details on the proposal to charge visitors a fee to drive down lombard street. planners held a presentation for those residents wednesday night. the fee would work like a toll. five dollars on weekdays and 10 dollars on weekends. planners say people would book a time slot in advance with an app or online and then drive down the street within a certain window of time. meetings on the proposed fee for lombard street will continue at a later date. we will update you when that meeting is set. group lawmakers are on capitol hill working together to try to avoid another government shutdown. their goal is bor deal that can clear both chambers of congress... and win president trump's signature. the deadline is february 15th, when a stopgap government funding measure expires. as lawmakers float different proposals ... democrats say they are leaning towards better border technology and increased staffing and security ... instead of a wall.

laid out her new plan with her state of the city address. on wednesday...breed talked about all the major issues at the l-g-b-t center... which included homelessness, housing and behavorial health. she is setting high goals for the city saying in the next four years she wants to create enough shelter beds, step-up housing units and make housing subsidies for the homeless. affordable housing is another item on her to-do list. ( robin ) mayor breed said the crisis in san francisco reaches beyond the housing and homeless... saying many issues come from people who say they need more than housing. ( robin ) the trump administration's new asylum policy named "remain in

mexico" ... is requiring asylum seekers to wait in mexico to learn the results of their request. the policy took effect last friday, as another large group of migrants heads to the u-s from central america. homeland security says it's overwhelmed by the numbers of migrants and the huge backlog of immigration cases. the agency calls the new rules, 'migrant protection protocols...' but humanitarian groups say the policy does not protect migrants and asylum seekers.
