flames before fire crews arrived on scene yesterday afternoon. the gas line erupted just before 1:30 at a construction site in the area of geary boulevard and parker avenue. pg&e managned to cap the ruptured gas line at 3:45 p.m. here's a map to show you exactly where it happened. firefighters issued evacuations to people residing within one block of the fire. ( robin ) in the north bay ... a dangerous reality for recycling center workers in the north bay. employees at santa rosa's recology center are continuing to find hypodermic needles on the sorting line. employees saying they sometimes find hundreds every shift. some of them being pricked and sent to the hospital. the center's general manager says its not all from drug use. if you do have needles that you need to get rid of ... you can visit a needle drop off location ... but it's not free -- you have to pay a fee for drop off. a popular brand of pita chips is under recall over allergy concerns. frito-lay is recalling a small number of "stacy's simply naked pita chips." the company says they may contain undeclared milk ingredients which could cause severe allergic reactions to some people. once person has had an allergic reaction so far. the recalled products are 7 ounce bags with a "use by" date of april 23rd 2019. no other stacy's products or flavors are recalled.you can return the chips to the store you bought them from.
