flames before fire crews arrived on scene yesterday afternoon. the gas line erupted just before 1:30 at a construction site in the area of geary boulevard and parker avenue. pg&e managned to cap the ruptured gas line at 3:45 p.m. here's a map to show you exactly where it happened. firefighters issued evacuations to people residing within one block of the fire.
