smaller class sizes and a 12- percent raise. kron 4's will tran spoke with a math teacher today who detailed what they want. teachers in oakland will strike for a third day. negotiations between the tachers union and the district broke down over the weekend. yesterday's negotiations lasted just one hour. the teachers union is holding out for a 12 percent pay raise over the next three years.. they're also calling for smaller class sizes. instead the district is offering a 7 percent retroactive raise plus a 1 and a half percent one-time bonus.. (catherine) also in the east bay.... both bores of the eastbound caldecott tunnel on highway 24 have reopened.. that's after a car caught fire inside one of those bores. the smoky fire shut everything downfor about an hour... beginning around 11:30. the oakland fire department put out the fireand removed the car.. there were traffic delays for several hours afterwards.. injuries were reported. (ken) a woman from cupertino was killed in yosemite over the weekend. investigators say 56-year-old xuan (shon) wang was hiking on the "mist trail" yesterday-- when she was hit by falling rock and ice. this is a map of yosemite park... you can see the mist trail in the center. it's a popular path from yosemite valley that runs alongside vernal falls and nevada falls. the trail was closed due to dangerous conditions yesterday. officials say the closure is clearly marked and the woman ignored the signs and went around the gate. tonight... we're still waiting for the results of the autopsy conducted on jeff adachi... the san francisco public defender died friday. authorities say there are lots of unanswered questions as to what happened.. kron four's maureen kelly reports. there was no answer at the telegraph place home where paramedics were called friday night.according to the district attorney's office - jeff adachi was with a friend -- and experienced trouble breathing after a dinner out in north beach.he was rushed to a hospital - where he died of an apparent heart attack. questions still remain on the circumstances surrounding his death.sources tell kron 4 authorities are investigating if there are any suspicious circumstances involved.. officially police say they are assisting the medical examiner's office who is the lead agency in investigating adachi's death and there are no signs of foul play.asked about the investigation at a news conference, adachi's longtime opponent, da george gascon had this to say.add to this investigation, to be honest with you i'm worried that we're going to a direction that we shouldn't. i don't think any of us are perfect and i think there are personal things that should

raiders fans... it looks like the team is moving closer to staying in oakland for at least one more season. scott mckibben, head of the coliseum authority says the two sides are having "good constructive talks" for finalizing a new lease for 20-19. mckibben says there are still details that need to be worked out before a contract can be brought to the board for approval. that is expected to happen next week. more on this coming up in sports with mark carpenter at 6:30. that's after he entered a plea of not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. grant lodes is here with the latest on the case. (grant) wearing an orange wearing an (grant) wearing an orange jumpsuit and escorted by deputies, singer r. kelly, walked into a chicago courtroom today. kelly pleaded not guilty on all 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse against him. each count carries a stentencing range of three to seven years in prison. prosecutors say the alleged crimes, taking place over 12 years, involve four victims. three of them would have been underage at the time. prosecutors are promising evidence. and attorneys for some of the accusers, say... there are videos of alleged abuse. kelly's attorney.. steve greenberg... says he doesn't believe the accusers.

(ken) in the south bay... students at san jose state can no longer ride electric scooters on campus. the university announced the changes today. officials say they started gathering all the scooters on campus and will store them until the companies can pick them up. they say "lime" is also implementing a warning alarm that will go off on your phone if you violate the policy and ride a scooter on campus. and the reason for the ban? campus officials say there have been too many collisions, falls, and blocking of fire exits.

(catherine) a group of young climate activists returned to senator dianne feinstein's office in san francisco today... they're demanding that she support "green new deal" legislation. on friday - about 20 of them confronted the senator in her office... they want her to support a bill that woulddrastically cut carbon emissions. feinstein said she's trying - but she believes the bill would not pass the republican-controlled senate. today the group was critical of feinstein's proposed alternative... arguing it doesn'tgo far enough to protect future generations from the dangers of climate change.
