( darya ) crews are also monitoring an area in sausalito where a landslide destroyed a couple of homes... and trapped a woman in the debris. she's still recovering this morning.( james ) their biggest concern now is flooding because crews are still cleaning the landslide. kron4's will tran is joining us now with more...will. ( darya ) the storm in the bay area has stopped the efforts to find the body of a woman who fell near fort funston. that's where a landslide buried two women walking their dog on friday. officials say they were trapped by falling sand and soil when the cliff gave way. one woman was rescued, but officials are looking for the other woman's body. yesterday, access to the part

of the beach where the landslide occurred was taped off. ( darya ) the park service has ruled out using ground penetrating radar in their recovery efforts. they are hoping to bring in long boom excavators once the storm has passed. ( james ) now to the oakland teachers strike... which is now entering its fourth day. the two sides are not closer to reaching a deal. the teachers union is accusing the district of

mounting a dis-information campaign ... as the strike continues this week. the district says it agrees that teachers are undervalued ... deserve more pay... but admits that the teachers union's 'immovable' proposal is not a financialy sound option for the district. ( james ) last week the teachers union ordered ponchos, ahead of today's strike... as both sides say they're no where close to a deal. ( james ) new this morning... a body has been found of the shores of san mateo. the man's body was pulled near pigeon point

lighthouse near pescadero early monday morning. san mateo county deputies were called out to the area to save a man calling for help. a coast guard helicopter also was called to assist with the search... who later found him unconcious in the water. medical personnel weren't able to revive him. we're now working to find out his identity. ( darya ) we are still waiting for the results of an autopsy conducted on san francisco's public defender jeff adachi. adachi died friday... but what exactly led up to his death is still unclear. according to the public defenders office, he was with a friend... and experienced trouble breathing after a dinner out in north beach. that friend apparntly called 911 from a telegraph hill house where they went after dinner... and he was rushed to the hospital.. where he died. sources tell kron 4 authorities are investigating if there are any suspicious circumstances involved. police say they are assisting the medical examiners office. when asked about the investigation... san francicso district attorney george gascon had this to say.

( darya ) in sports... talks continue as many people wonder if the raiders will play next season in oakland at the coliseum... because officials have not confirmed if a lease agreement is in place. executive director of the coliseum authority... scott mckibben... says recent talks between the coliseum board and the team have been productive... but admits its not a done deal just yet. one raiders fan says he's sticking with the team no matter what. ( darya ) there are still details that need to be worked out before a contract can be brought to the coliseum board for approval. that is expected to happen next week. ( darya ) the drowing accident rescue team in sacramento is on standby as rain moves across the area. a flood watch is in effefct for the valley until thursday... this comes after metro fire crews say they had to rescue several trapped cars from flood waters less than two weeks ago. it's also why the department has invested in 14 drones to help with rescues. crews use the drones to scope out the scene before getting into the water. ( darya ) officials are hoping drivers will remain cautious the next few days, so their boats don't have to be out in flooded waters. ( darya ) a woman from cupertino was killed in yosemite over the weekend.

investigators say 56-year-old xuan (shon) wang was hiking on the "mist trail" when she was hit by falling rock and ice. this is a map of yosemite park... you can see the mist trail in the center. it's a popular path that runs alongside vernal falls and nevada falls. the trail was closed due to dangerous conditions sunday. officials say the closure is clearly marked and the woman ignored the signs and went around the gate. ( darya ) police in danville are looking for a suspect they believe shot and killed a man sunday. it happened at 34-70 fostoria way... just off 680 and near the crow canyon country club. an arrest warrant has been issued for 51-year-old mark allan sypien in the shooting death of john moore. investigators say sypien was last seen driving a silver 2003 ford escape with an illinois license plate.

a man who owns a building near wherethe shooting took place says his son was in the area when shots were fired. ( darya ) danville police say sypien is considered armed and dangerous his last known address was in the dublin area. information on a possible motive has not been released. ( darya ) police say a fire that left an elderly woman dead last week in san mateo was intentionally set in a targeted gang attack. last friday police arrested fifita tau in connection with the arson. the fire broke out near south humboldt street on february 19-th. firefighters got four people out of of the home... and two others from a detached garage... but 85-year old susana tonga did not survive. investigators have not yet said why the home was targeted.

( james ) police are investigating a shooting that happened in a home near san francisco state univeristy. a woman was found shot on serrano drive just after 7 last night. she was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. police say the victim knew the suspect who ran away. so far no arrests have been made. ( james ) the group analyzing who should pay for the cost and recovery of catastrophic wildfires in california, had its first meeting yesterday in sacramento. the five commissioners chose former california public utilities member carla peterman as its chair. utility infrastructure will be a major focus for the commission. the group is expected to make recommendations to lawmakers on how to distribute the cost of destructive wildfires. the legislature established the group as utility companies like pg&e have recently been sued over devastating fires. commissioners are urging the state's utility companies to get involved in the commission's work.
