(ots) in the east bay... a group of people are now behind bars ... after a robbery turned into a highway police chase. four people are accused of robbing a lowe's home improvement store in fremont this morning. police tried to pull them over on interstate -880 ... just south of the marina exit in san leandro... but they kept driving. the c-h-p and oakland police got involved in the chase ... which ended a few minutes later on the 900- block of edes avenue in oakland. authorities discovered several boxes of stolen, new power tools in

searching for a suspect who showed off too much of himself in public. alameda police are trying to i-d the man on the screen. they say he entered a subway on webster street tuesday and exposed his privates. he is described as a black man, about five- foot-six, 160 pounds... with short hair and a mustache. he was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, jeans, black shoes, a gray hat and gray backpack.

measure would stiffen penalties and enforcement.. and give consumers tools to identify and block those calls. a consumer expert says the bill is an important step - - but robo calls won't disappear overnight. the scam calls have flooded americans' phones -- and enforcement against them is difficult---with many scammers overseas. now -- the traced act requires phone companies to offer call- blocking apps for free.. and verify the number that's calling you is real. however -- experts worry that scammers will try to find ways around the new rules. still -- one phone company is applauding the bill's passage -- saying it will supercharge the fight against robo calls. (pam) 42-million- people are expected to fly this holiday season. the transportation security administration says, that number is up three- point - nine percent from last year. t-s-a says, the increase in travelers could lead to a slower security process -- so people should be prepared. to ease the travel proces, s the agency says .. avoid
