school district is dealing with its second racism incident of this month.( james ) this time-- a video on social media showed a student calling an african american man a racial slur. this happened at monte vista high school on wednesday. the student responsible was identified. the school's principal sent letters to parents saying the school has a zero tolerance for this kind of behavior. the school is now working with different organizations and have a number of school programs to combat racism and create a safe environment at school. ( james ) school leaders wouldn't tell us how the student was discipline. ( james ) in the north bay-- police in benicia are looking for a man who used pepper spray on a gas station clerk before stealing money from the cash register.

our top story this morning. a young boy is dead after a playground accident at a private school in san rafael.( james ) the school says classes will be in session this morning. the accident happened yesterday on the playground at mark day school on trellis drive. the school says other students and staff witnessed the accident and tried to provide aid for the young boy. he died at a hospital. the school is working with police to investigate what happened ... and the section of campus where the accident happened has been closed off. mark day school released this statement saying ... "the death of someone so young is devastating for all of us, and even more so under these

circumstances and at this time of year, when we are surrounded by celebrations while we mourn. all of us at mark day school express our deepest sympathies to his family, classmates and friends." there will be counselors on campus today for students who need support.
